Ishant dismisses Ali, England 173-5 at lunch

The wicket of Ali (39) from the last delivery of the morning session reduces England to 173 for five in 76 overs at the lunch break on Day 5. They need 146 more runs for victory with two sessions to go in this thrilling Test match at Lord's.

Root batted beautifully through the session, playing a solid innings of 52 from 126 balls and he put on 101 runs for the fifth wicket with Ali to frustrate the Indians.

Overall, England scored 68 runs in 30 overs for the loss of one wicket in the morning session.

Ishant has been superb with the ball for India, taking three for 47 in 17 overs and was the only Indian bowler to make an impression on Day 5.
