Mumbai Indians elect to bat against Rajasthan

Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma has won the toss and elected to bat against Rajasthan Royals in the 44th match of the Indian Premier League in Ahmedabad, on Monday.

Mumbai Indians are without their strike bowler Lasith Malinga, who has joined the Sri Lankan team for their tour of England. He is replaced by West Indian Krishmar Santokie.

Young Karnataka leg-spinner Shreyas Gopal makes his IPL debut as he comes in for CM Gautam, while veteran Michael Hussey takes the place of Corey Anderson.

Rajasthan Royals have made four changes to their team with an eye on the future as they give their reserve players a chance ahead of the final week of the tournament.

Shane Watson comes back to lead the team and he comes in for Ben Cutting. Unmukt Chand, Brad Hodge and Ankit Sharma also get a game as they replace Ajinkya Rahane, Steven Smith and Pravin Tambe respectively.
