A single off Starc helps Warner complete a well-deserved half century, his fifth of this edition. He celebrates the same with a straight six off Abu Nechim.

Hyderabad: 100-1 (12.3 overs)
Bangalore: 160-6 (20 overs)

Yuzvendra Chahal bowls a good first over, giving away just four runs. Nine runs come off Abu Nechim Ahmed's second over, with Dhawan finding the fence behind sqaure.

Warner smashes successive sixes over midwicket in Chahal's third over.

A single off Murali helps Dhawan complete a well-deserved fifty. However, he is run out immediately after.

Starc's second over is an expensive one as well, with both the bastmen helping themselves to a boundary apiece.

Murali replaces Aaron in the fifth over and Warner welcomes him with a boundary behind square.

Abu Nechim replaces an expensive Starc (2-0-22-0). No respite though as Warner welcomes him with a boundary over mid-off. A single off the next ball helps Hyderabad reach the 50-run mark without the loss of a wicket.

The timeout is taken.

Yuvraj Singh joins his captain at the crease with his team in all sorts of trouble. He's fortunate as his chip off Rasool falls just short of the fielder.

In the next over Yuvi is lucky again as his heave on the leg side falls short of Steyn.

Kohli eases the pressure with a boundary off Sharma.

Bangalore: 23-1 (5 overs)

Virat Kohli is the new man in.

Gayle gets into action mode with a boundary off Kumar.

"Looks like a dry wicket and we will look to put some runs on the board. And hopefully, it will take some turn later on," reasons captain Virat Kohli. His opposite number concurs.

"We were going to bat too as well," he admits.
