India 173-6 (65 ovs) vs SA | Scorecard

Another off-spinner comes into the attack as part-timer J P Duminy is called in for a bowl. He starts off from round the wicket and bowls one wide down the leg side spinning away beating even keeper Vilas for four byes. The next ball stays a bit low but Rahane is able to adjust as he goes on the backfoot and turns it square for a single, while Jadeja defends the rest of the over.

Jadeja hits another cracking straight drive, this time off Duminy as it races down the ground for a four.

Rahane decides to chance his arm as he slog sweeps Piedt over midwicket for a six. Two balls later, he pulls it square for a boundary to complete his fifty, from 90 balls.

This is the first time that Rahane has crossed the 50-run mark in Test matches in India and also his first fifty after six successive failures.
