Cummins brings Australia closer to victory with the wicket of Jadeja in the next over. The left-hander slashes a wide full delivery straight into the hands of Warner at point to fall for 20.

 India 173-6 (30 ovs) vs Aus 371 | Scorecard

In the next over, India slip further as Suresh Raina is run out courtesy of a brilliant piece of fielding by Warner at point. Ambati Rayudu dropped the ball on the off-side and called Raina for a quick single but Warner snooped in quickly and got a direct hit, diving forward to earn his team a wicket.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni is dismissed off the very next delivery. He looks to pull a short ball from Cummins and makes good connection but Starc takes an unbelievable catch on the fine leg fence, plucking it out of mid air, to leave everyone stunned at the Adelaide Oval.

India have lost three wickets for one run in the space of seven balls. They have been reduced to 173 for six in 30 overs, needing another 199 runs from 20 overs for victory at an asking rate of nearly 10 runs per over with just four wickets in hand.

 India 172-4 (29 ovs) vs Aus 371 | Scorecard

Pat Cummins come into the attack very late in the innings. And he strikes in his very first over as Rahane holes out a simple catch to mid-on to walk back after a good innings of 66 from 52 balls, having put on 104 runs for the third wicket with Dhawan.

As expected new batsman Suresh Raina is greeted with a bouncer which he ducks under before he takes a single to point off the next ball.

Raina smashes a full wide delivery from Watson through the point region for a boundary followed by four more singles.

Raina trying to attack at every possible opportunity. He has a wild swing at a short ball from Cummins but fails to make proper connection. Surely, he is not having a go at the total, instead he could spend time at the wicket and get some useful batting practice. He plays a sensible shot off the last ball, steering it to thirdman for a single to retain strike.

Part-time leg-spinner Steve Smith comes into the attack. He makes a tidy start giving away just two singles and Raina watchfully plays him out.

India take the Batting Powerplay and Australia promptly bring back their premier fast bowler in Johnson.

And he strikes immediately with the wicket of Dhawan, who mishits the pull shot straight into the hands of fielder at mid-on to be dismissed for 59.

Dhawan takes a single from the second ball to bring up his fifty from 57 balls, having hit five fours. The left-hander registered a single fifty in three Tests before he was dropped while he also struggled in the ODI tri-series.

In the next over, Rahane races to his fifty from just 40 balls as he drives Maxwell through the covers for two runs. Three balls later he makes room and slaps it through the same region but this time he gets a four.

Rahane on the charge now. He gives Watson the charge and drives him through the covers for a four and two balls later flicks it through midwicket for another boundary and take India past the 150-run mark.

Part-timer, Maxwell, who played an amazing innings with the bat will have a bowl. He makes a tidy start conceding just three singles in his first over of off-spin.

Rahane repeats the inside out lofted shot off Doherty for another boundary as India look content to play to the merit of the ball and not take any undue risks.

The Australian spinners are doing a good job of rushing through their overs without conceding too many runs.

Rahane trying a few tricks as he goes back and across and paddles Doherty fine on the leg side for two. He charges down the track to the next ball and lofts him over mid-on for a boundary.

India have reached 120 for two in 20 overs with Rahane on 41 from 34 balls and Dhawan on 47 from 53 balls.

Australia introduce spin in the form of left-armer Xavier Doherty, who is milked for seven runs in the 12th over.

Rahane gets his first boundary as he plays a cracking drive through the gap in the covers off Marsh.

India seem to have given up on the chase with the required rate now touching the eight runs per over but both batsmen not showing any sort of urgency.

Rahane plays a cute nudge off Doherty which goes past short thirdman fielder and fetches him three runs.

Dhawan plays another good drive through the covers off Marsh to get three before Rahane gets two wide of thirdman.

India are 88 for two in 15 overs, needing 284 runs in 35 overs for victory at an asking rate of 8.11.

The biggest positive for India has been Dhawan, who seems to have got form back, having made 40 from 38 balls, while Rahane has 16 from 18 balls.

Hazlewood is hit for a boundary each by Kohli and Dhawan, in the ninth over.

But India suffer a big blow in the next over as Kohli inside edges Starc back on to his stumps to be bowled for 18.

13:40   Rohit out for 8, India lose early wicket
 India 20-1 (5 ovs) vs Aus 371 | Scorecard

Another Mitchell from the other end as Johnson comes in to bowl the second over. Dhawan takes a single from the first ball on the leg side and Rohit steers the next to thirdman for another run.

Dhawan is then beaten outside the off-stump as Johnson gets it move, leaving the left-hander late as it passes close to the edge of the bat. He defends the rest of the over as just two runs come from it.

Starc is off after bowling just one over before Josh Hazlewood comes into the attack. Rohit looks to defend the first ball but it moves away slightly taking the edge which goes on the bounce to the slips. In the same over, Dhawan crashes a wide half-volley through the covers for a boundary.

In the next over, Dhawan hits one past point off Johnson for his second boundary.

But disaster strikes in the next over as Rohit is caught in the slips as he looks to guide it down to thirdman. Rohit (8) is caught at second slip by Finch, who takes it on the second attempt as India are reduced to 20 for one in the fifth over.
13:25
 India 7-0 (1 ov) vs Aus 371 | Scorecard

The fit-again Rohit Sharma opens the batting for India along with Shikhar Dhawan, who has struggled for runs in Australia.

Mitchell Starc, who bowled well during the ODI tri-series, will open the bowling. India are off the mark courtesy of a wide before Rohit hits the next ball through the covers for a delightful boundary followed by a single. Dhawan takes a leg bye from the last ball to get seven runs from the opening over.

12:45   Maxwell, Warner hit centuries as Australia post 371
Aus 371-all out (48.2 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

The dismissal of Maxwell has given the Indian bowlers some breathing space. Yadav bowls a tidy over and is unlucky not to bag the wicket of Pat Cummins, who top edged the pull but Suresh Raina dropped a simple high catch.

In the next over, Johnson falls as he skies it high on the leg side but Mohit manages to take it cleanly. Johnson walks back after scoring a quick 19 from 12 balls as Australia lose their ninth wicket.

Shami finishes off the innings as he bowls Cummins with a quick yorker as Australia are bowled out for 371 in 48.2 overs.

The spinners also went for runs with R Ashwin conceding 29 runs in six overs, Patel taking one for 47 in five overs and Jadeja giving away 19 runs in two overs.

Binny, who was the surprise choice with the new ball, took one for 41 in six overs.

Aus 367-8 (47 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Mitchell Starc fails to make most of the opportunity as he is caught behind off the first delivery he faces off Mohit. The umpires refer the catch to the third umpire, who rules it in favour of the bowler.

Mitchell Johnson drives a full toss between the fielders at cover and mid-off for a boundary to get off the mark. Mohit then oversteps and overpitches as Johnson drives it down the ground for another four. The left-hander makes room and smashes the free hit delivery through the covers for the third four of the over, which costs India 15 runs.

Shami comes back and still continues to leak runs. He drops short again as Johnson top edges the pull which goes behind the wickets for a four. A good over from Shami considering how he has bowled through the innings as he concedes just seven, in the 47th over.

Aus 345-6 (45 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Marsh also takes a cue from his partner as he smashes Mohit through the leg side for his first boundary before Maxwell thrashes the last ball through the covers for the same result to get 11 runs from the over.

Yadav comes back and he strikes with the wicket of Marsh, who pulls it straight into the hands of the fielder at deep square leg to fall for 21.

Maxwell lofts the next ball over the off-side for a four to race to his century from 53 balls, having hit 10 fours and five sixes. He has been unstoppable in the last few overs, having brought up his second fifty from just 19 balls.

Maxwell then shuffles across and steers Yadav fine on the leg side for a four before he makes room and lofts it over the covers for a six.

Maxwell is proving to be unstoppable as he lofts a short ball wide of long-on for a six. The last ball is sent flying over midwicket to make it a hat-trick of sixes as 27 runs come from Yadav's eighth over.

Shami's horror show with the ball continues. Maxwell flicks a full toss over midwicket for another six before he plays an amazing reverse lap shot off the fast bowler for a four to take Australia past the 300-run mark.

Shami has gone for 13 runs in the over as his figures now read one for 76 in eight overs.
11:58
Aus 268-5 (40 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

The Batting Powerplay comes into effect. India bring back their best bowler of the day in Yadav. He starts with a good short ball to Marsh, who top edges the pull but it falls behind the short fine leg fielder for a single.

Maxwell also struggles with the short ball as he ends up hitting it onto his helmet for a couple.

Shami seems to have recovered after the injury on his fingers as he comes back to resume his bowling. Marsh slaps the second ball down the ground for a couple and then takes one from the next. India have managed to keep Maxwell quiet in the last couple of overs as the boundaries have dried up.

Yadav has been a revelation today as he concedes just three runs in the 38th over. He has been exemplary with his line and length and not given the batsmen anything to work with.

Maxwell decides to cut loose and make use of the fielding restrictions. Shami bowls a full delivery on the pads which Maxwell carts over midwicket for a six. He slams the next ball for a boundary through the leg side to bring up Australia's 250-run mark in the 39th over.

The fourth ball is lofted over the bowler's head for a boundary down the ground followed by two singles to make it 16 runs from the over. Shami has struggled, giving away 63 runs in seven overs to compound India's problems with the ball ahead of the World Cup.

Jadeja, who has bowled just one over so far, comes back. Maxwell takes two runs from the second ball to midwicket to race to his fifty from 34 balls, having hit four fours and two sixes.

Maxwell down with some sort of discomfort in his back as the physio comes out to attend him. But he looks fine to continue and two balls later slams one over mid-off for a four as Australia race to 268 for five in 40 overs.
11:37   Bailey out for 44, Australia lose 5th wicket
Aus 228-5 (35 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

He slog sweeps the last ball over midwicket for a six to get 16 runs from the over and race to 27 from 18 balls.

Maxwell looks to force the tempo as he attempts the reverse sweep but fails to make connection with a delivery down the leg side.

Australia have reached 198 for four in 30 overs with Bailey on 37 from 51 balls and Maxwell on seven. India's bowlers have done well to pull back things with just 21 runs coming from the last five overs.

11:02   Warner falls for 105, Australia lose 4th wicket
Aus 189-4 (27 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Warner brings up his century with a single from just 80 balls, having hit 13 fours and two sixes, taking the Indian bowlers to the cleaners right from the start. A superb innings from the left-hander and it has given Australia a solid platform to post a huge after electing to bat first on a flat wicket.

Young left-arm spinner Axar Patel comes into the attack. The second ball is short and wide as Warner rocks back and hits it through the off-side for a four.

But he falls off the next delivery as he makes room and looks to hit through the off-side but misses and is bowled after a superb innings of 105 from 84 balls, having hit 14 fours and two sixes.

Plenty of flight from Axar which did the trick as Warner tried to hoist it over the off-side but failed to make connection.

The dangerous Glenn Maxwell walks out to join his captain out in the middle. He wastes no time in looking to unsettle the bowler as he tries to reverse sweep the last ball which falls just wide of the diving fielder at point for a couple.
10:56
Aus 177-3 (25 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Warner inches closer to his century as he pulls a short ball from Ashwin comfortably over midwicket for his second six to take his score to 98.

At the other end, Bailey continues to bat with confidence. After three good dot balls, Shami drops one short as Bailey pulls a thumping pull shot for a four followed by a single as Australia 177 for three in 25 overs.

Two balls later he smashes it over midwicket followed by a single and Watson takes two from the last ball to get 15 runs from the over as Shami has gone for 29 in two.

At the other end, Yadav bowls another tidy over, giving away just four runs.

Mohit Sharma, who has been drafted in India's World Cup squad in place of the injured Ishant, comes in to replace Shami.

09:16   Aus off a flier vs India in World Cup warm-up

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to bowl the second over. He also makes a poor start as Finch drives an over-pitched delivery back past the bowler through mid-off for a four while the next is hit through the off-side for the same result. Bhuvi then gets one to come in sharply hitting Finch on the pads but the LBW appeal is turned down, maybe that one did a bit too much!

Warner decides he has had enough of Binny's slow medium pace. He carts the first ball over midwicket for a boundary and then eases the next ball through the covers for back to back fours as Australia are off to a flier as they race to 23 for no loss in three overs.
