World Cup Live: Rohit, Virat help India seal third straight win

Rohit hits the fifth ball past point to the fence to complete his 24th ODI half century. God to see him get some runs after failures in both of India's previous matches. 

Chandran bowls the next, the 18th of the innings. A boundary by Kohli takes India to the 100-run mark. 

And a boundary by Rohit, his 10th, off Tauqir, seals it for India in 18.5 overs. 

Rohit (57 not out) and Virat (33 not out) have added 75 runs (in 74 balls) and sealed a third straight win for India in the competition.

India reach 88 for one at the breather (18 overs), needing just 15 more runs to win. 

Alas, we have to wait 45 more minutes for that. It's the dinner break.

Rohit helps himself to three boundaries in Naveed's fifth over. Good to see him hitting the ball well.

A boundary by Kohli, off Guruge, takes India past the 50-run mark, in the 10th over. 

The duo are scoring at a run-a-ball.

Dhawan gets into the groove with a couple of boundaries in Naveed's second over. 

Rohit then a six off Guruge.

However, against the run of play Naveed provides UAE the breakthrough, a spectacular one-handed catch by Rohan Mustafa cutting short Dhawan's (14) stay.

Virat Kohli is the new man in.

Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan to open the batting for India and it will be Mohammad Naveed first up for the UAE.

Rohit smashes the fourth ball to the cover point boundary in what is the lone scoring shot in the over. Manjula Guruge to bowl the second over. He gives away just a single.

After such a great game in Auckland, we are being subject to an atrocity in Perth. 

Jadeja strikes a second time, in his second over, cleaning up Mohammad Tauqir (1). 

Ashwin ends with impressive figures (10-1-25-4). 

Shaiman Anwar seems to be batting well. A boundary off his blade, off Yadav, ensures UAE get past the 100-run mark, in the 32nd over. 

Yadav responds by cleaning him up for 35. 

UAE dismissed for 102 in 31.3 overs.

Ashwin strikes again in his fourth over, having Khurram Khan (14) caught by Raina at leg-slip. Three wickets for him now. 

Mohit Sharma too gets a wicket, in his fourth over, having Rohan Mustafa (2) out leg before. The batsman goes for a review. But the decision stands. 

Ravindra Jadeja replaces Sharma (5-1-16-1) in the attack in the 22nd over. He strikes first ball, having Amjad Javed (2) caught by Raina at slip.

Mohammad Naveed is the new man in. He starts off with a huge six over long-on. And is lucky three balls later, as Raina puts it down at first slip.

However, the let-off hardly matters as Ashwin cleans him up in the next over. The offie has now taken four wickets in this innings.

Twin bowling change for India, Mohit Sharma replacing Umesh Yadav (5-2-7-1) in the attack in the 12th over. He gives away five runs first up, including a boundary to Patil.

Ashwin strikes for a second time, in his third over, having Patil (7) caught by Shikhar Dhawan at slip.

India make their first bowling change in the 11th over, R Ashwin replacing Bhuvneswar Kumar (5-0-19-1). 

The impact is immediate.

Ashwin strikes with his second ball, having Chandran (4) caught by Raina at leg slip. 

Swapnil Patil is the new man in.

The strikes by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Umesh Yadav have ensured India an expected start. 

UAE is struggling at 17 for two.

Kane Williamson kept his cool to smash a six off Pat Cummins to hand New Zealand a nervy one wicket win against New Zealand. 

Australia, courtesy off Mitchell Starc's six-for reduced New Zealand to 146-9, before Williamson hit the winning runs for Kiwis. 

Chasing a meagre 151 for win, New Zealand got off to a fast start. Brendon McCullum smashed a 21-ball half-century, before Starc slowed New Zealand's chase with twin strikes. 

Williamson then joined hands with Corey Anderson to put a half-century stand for sixth wicket, which proved crucial in the end.

Two in two for Starc and he has a chance to pick up a hattrick and be the hero for Australia. 

Australia has fought from no where to be one wicket away from a famous win in Auckland.

Umpires ask for a replay, and after much delay Anderson is given out. 

Luke Ronchi smashed Maxwell off the second ball as New Zealand need 15 runs for a victory.

Riding high on a half-century stand between Corey Anderson and Kane Williamson has put New Zealand in commanding position. 

New Zealand looked rattled when Mitchell Stac picked up two quick wickets to reduce them to 79-4. 

Since then, the duo played some sensible cricket to bring the innings back on track. 

Anderson has feasted on Mitchell Johnson's loosners as he smashed two boundaries and a six. 

Williamson's cool head ensuring that Kiwis stay focussed on the job. 

At the end of 19 overs, New Zealand were 130-4, still requiring 22 runs to win the crucial game. 

Anderson is on 26, while Williamson is on 33.

Kiwis were off to a great start, before Mitchell Starc rocked them with three quick strikes.

McCullum looking to be aggressive against the pacer was caught at mid-on by Mitchell Starc for 50 off just 24 balls. 

McCullum's innings included seven hits to the fence and three sixes. 

Mitchell Starc then strikes in his next over as he castles Ross Taylor for 1. 

Perfect in swinger as the the off-stump goes for a walk. At the break New Zealand were 79-3 after 8.1 overs.

This time he he smashed Mitchell Johnson for a six and a boundary.to race through the 40s. 

He reached the landmark with a single off Johnson in the seventh over as New Zealand were 72-1 after 7 overs. 

McCullum is on 50 off 21 balls, while Kane Williamson is on 8.

It was a pitched up delivery from Starc as Guptill went in for a drive, but couldn't get the power and was safely pouched.

McCullum smashed Mitchell Johnson for a maximum and then hit him over extra cover for a boundary.

Australia were off to a good start, before Daniel Vettori and Boult slowed things down and picked up wickets at regular intervals. 

Brad Haddin tried his best in the final stages and he along with Pat Cummins put on 45 runs, before Haddin was dismissed by Corey Anderson.

This is a good passage of play for New Zealand, who leaked runs upfront. 

Smith looking to drive one on the up got a healthy edge and was safely pouched by Luke Ronchi behind the stumps. 

Trent Boult adds Australia's worries as he castles Glen Maxwell for 1.

Maxwell chased a wide one from Boult, only to chop it back onto the stumps. Australia have lost half their side now

Two balls later, its Mitchell Marsh's turn to make the long walk back after he chopped one back onto his stumps.

Two wickets in this over for Boult, who has been the most impressive of the pacers.

Shane Watson, who looked good in the middle was caught at square leg by Tim Southee. 

Watson looked to pulled a short delivery from Vettori only to hand a low catch to Southee. 

Southee then in the next over, had David Warner walking back after he was adjudged LBW for 34. 

Umpire was quick to raise the finger. Warner's goes for a review, but replays showed the ball would have kissed the top of off-stump -- so the umpire call stays.
