2nd ODI LIVE: India thrash Zimbabwe by 69 runs; win series 2-0

A clinical performance from India with both bat and ball has helped them win the three-match series 2-0. 

After registering 271-8, Indian bowlers led by Bhuvneshwar Kumar bundled out Zimbabwe for 209. 

Bhuvi who finished with 4-33 got good support from Harbhajan Singh and Dhawal Kulkarni. 

For Zimbabwe Chamu Chibhabha was the lone ranger with 100-ball 72.

With two overs to go, Zimbabwe are totally out of the game. India, meanwhile are just one wicket away from winning the three match series 2-0. 

It's been pretty convincing performance from the Men in Blue and bowlers too have done a better job this time round. 

Zimbabwe were 204-9 after 48 overs.

Ajinkya Rahane's brilliance in the field packs off Chibhabha. 

Raza, who dabbed one through the leg side for a single changed his mind midway with Chibhabha already half-way down the pitch. 

Rahane picked up the ball from midwicket and threw the stumps down. 

Harbhajan Singh then finally managed to get a wicket, after he had Raza caught by wicket-keeper Robin Uthappa. 

Raza looking to play a sweepshot gloved one for 18. 

Zimbabwe struggling in the chase now and were 133-6 after 32 overs.

Axar Patel finally gets his name in the wickets coloumn as he castles Sean Williams for 20. 

Williams who was dropped twice played down the wrong line and was bowled through the gates. 

Zimbabwe were 98-4 after 26 overs. Chibhabha is on 57, while Sikander Raza is on 1.

Chamu Chibhabha is leading the run chase for Zimbabwe with a fighting half-century. 

The all-rounder reached the landmark with a single off Harbhajan Singh off Harbhajan Singh. 

Sean Williams is struggling but is hanging in there despite being dropped twice. 

The duo have added 47 runs so far as Zimbabwe reach 90-3 after 24 overs.

Chamu Chibhabha and Sean Williams are looking to steady Zimbabwe's innings after early jolts. 

Chibhabha has slowed down a bit, but is looking to fight it out in the middle. 

Williams, meanwhile, has got two lives -- one that was put down by Manoj Tiwary, the other that fell in no man's land off Harbhajan Singh. 

Zimbabwe need a solid partnership, if they were to have any chance in the match. 

After 18 overs, Zimbabwe were 64-3. Chibhabha is on 37, while Williams is on 6. 

The hosts need 209 runs off 192 balls.

Zimbabwe are struggling now as they lose in-form Elton Chigumbura for 9. 

The skipper edged one to first slips, where his counterpart Ajinkya Rahane took a brilliant diving catch to leave the hosts reeling at 43-3. 

Bhuvi has already struck twice and is looking dangerous with the ball.

After Dhawal Kulkarni, its time for Bhuvneshwar Kumar to strike as he removes Zimbabwe's most experienced player Hamilton Masakadza. 

Masakadza, edged an outswinger to wicket-keeper Robin Uthappa, to give Buvi his 50th ODI wicket. 

After 9 overs, Zimbabwe were 31-2.  Chamu Chibhabha is on 22, while Elton Chigumbura is yet to open his account.

Dhawal Kulkarni starts the over on a better note as he removes Vusi Sibanda for 2. 

Sibanda went after a wide delivery from Kulkari but hit on straight down Murali Vijay's throat.

Zimbabwe openers Vusi Sibanda and  Chamu Chibhabha are off to a sedate start in the chase of 272. 

Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Dhawal Kulkarni bowled a maiden each, before Chibhabha took on a wayward Kulkarni, smashing him for three consecutive boundaries. 

In the next over, he took on Bhuvi smashing him for his fourth boundary. 

After 5 overs Zimbabwe were 24-0. Chibhabha is on 21, while Sibanda is on 2.

Half-centuries from openers Ajinkya Rahane and Murali Vijay helped India post 271-8. 

India should be disappointed with the way they finished considering the start they got. 

Ambati Rayudu played a vital 41, while Stuart Binny used the long handle to good effect.

Two wickets in quick succession has slowed India down somewhat. First Ambati Rayudu was the one to make the walk back after he hit to Waller at deep midwicket. 

Rayudu, who was looking to clear the boundary didn't get the elevation and had to be content with 41 runs to his name. 

Manoj Tiwary too was guilty of playing a loose shot and was caught by Brian Vittori at fine leg. 

After 44 overs, India were 222-4. Robin Uthappa is on 8, while Stuart Binny is on 9.

India take Batting Powerplay with 10 overs to go as Ambati Rayudu gets a single through the leg side. 

Hamilton Masakadza follows it with a slower one -- no run. 

Tiwary pulls one for a single. After 41 overs, India were  199-2. Rayudu is on 39, while Tiwary is on 19.

Neville Madziva provides the breakthrough for Zimbabwe as he removes well-set Murali Vijay for 72. 

Vijay who was looking to be aggressive post his half-century was holed out in the deep by substitute fielder Waller off the third attempt. 

After 34 overs, India were 160-2. Rayudu is on 21, while Manoj Tiwary is yet to open his account.

Muraki Vijay has picked up pace after reaching his half-century as he smashed two huge sixes. 

Rayudu too has looked aggressive and already hit the boundary board twice as the duo have already added 46 runs.

Chamu Chibhabha strikes for Zimbabwe as he had Ajinkya Rahane walking back for 63. 

Chibhabha, induced a false shot from well set Rahane and was safely pouched by Sikander Raza at covers. 

Meanwhile Murali Vijay completed his maiden ODI half-century with a single off Chibhabha. 

Vijay reached the landmark in 81 balls with just one boundary. 

At the end of 28 overs India were 121-1. 

Vijay is going strong on 51, while he is joined by Ambati Rayudu, who is on 3.

Skipper Ajinkya Rahane struck an elegant half-century to provide a solid platform for Indian batsmen for late flourish. 

Rahane, mixed caution with aggression as he along with Murali Vijay ensured that India didn't lose too many wickets up front. 

Rahane reached the landmark with a boundary off Sean Williams as the duo closed-in on a century stand. 

Vijat too is looking pretty much at ease against an attack that doesn't look threatening.

After 22 overs India were 92-0. Rahane is on 53, while Vijay is on 35.

A half-century stand between Ajinkya Rahane and Murali Vijay has ensured that India are off to a solid start after being asked to bat first. 

The duo, who missed out in the first ODI, is looking to make the most of the sunny and dry conditions. 

Rahane, wo has hit the boundary boards thrice is looking more comfortable, while Vijay is quite happy to deal in single. 

Aftr 14 overs India were 55-0. Rahane is on 28, while Vijay is on 23.

Rahane has hit the boundary boards thrice, while Vijay has been dealing in singles.

Welcome to the update of the second One-day International between India and Zimbabwe in Harare.

India registered a narrow four runs win in the first ODI in Harare. Indian bowling was tested in the first ODI and will be interesting to see ifhey make any changes to their side. 

The news from the middle is Zimbabwe have won the toss and elected to bowl first.

The hosts have made one change to their side -- bringing in Neville Madziva in placce of Panyangara. 

India, meanwhile, are fielding with an unchanged side.
