ZIMBABWE WIN BY 10 RUNS, SERIES ENDS 1-1

India 135-9 (20 ovs) vs Zim 145-7 | Scorecard

Mpofu handed the ball for the last over of the innings. He starts with a yorker which Bhuvi turns to fine leg and Mohit calls him for the third run after a slight misfield.

Mohit plays and misses but Bhuvi is alert to the situation and calls him for a bye after wicketkeeper Coventry fumbles.

Mpofu bowls a low full toss which the right-hander misses and he gets a run out as the Indians try to steal another bye.

India finish on a disappointing 135 for nine in their 20 overs to lose by 10 runs as the T20 series ends 1-1.

A morale-boosting victory for Zimbabwe, who finally break the duck after four losses in a row, including the three-match ODI series.

Cremer was the hero of the match for Zimbabwe, taking three for 18 in his four overs including two wickets in his first over.
19:48   India need 19 runs from last over for victory

India 127-8 (19 ovs) vs Zim 145-7 | Scorecard

Muzarabani comes back. The first ball is a yorker to Bhuvneshwar, which he turns to midwicket for a couple. He shuffles across and paddles the next ball but it goes square for one run to deep square leg.

The pacer bowls a superb yorker to Patel, who somehow manages to keep it out.

The next ball is a low full toss which the left-hander lofts over the leg side but Williams takes a superb high catch at deep midwicket to gets his team the wicket.

Patel walks back for 13 with India needing 22 from eight balls for victory, with just two wickets in hand.

Just six runs from the over leave India with 19 to get from the final over for victory.
19:41   India need 25 from last 2 overs for victory

India 121-7 (18 ovs) vs Zim 145-7 | Scorecard

Raza will continue as he decides to take a gamble by keeping himself on. He starts with two dot balls to Axar Patel, who then gets a single. No boundaries in the over as Raza gives away just five runs, leaving India to get 32 runs from the last three overs for victory.

Mpofu, who went for 12 runs in his first over, comes back. Patel turns the first ball on the leg side for two runs but can't get the second one away as the pacer foxes him with clever change of pace.

Another slower bouncer this time Patel pulls it to deep midwicket but only for a single.

Mpofu makes it worse for India with the wicket of Samson, the last recognised batsman for India, Samson, who made 19, hits it straight into the hands of the fielder at long-on as India slip to 117 for seven, with 29 needed from 14 balls for victory.

Patel gets a much-needed boundary from the next delivery as he steers a full delivery past short thirdman. But he misses the next ball, which is again full and wide.

India need a few boundaries, with 25 needed from the last two overs for victory.
19:32   Binny out for 24 to leave India in trouble

India 109-6 (16 ovs) vs Zim 145-7 | Scorecard

Cremer, who has one over left, comes back. Binny lofts the first ball down the ground but fails to make proper connection as Chibhabha takes a brilliant catch, diving forward.

Binny walks back for 24, leaving India in a spot of bother on 105 for six in the 16th over with only the tailenders to come.

Cremer gives away four runs in his final over to finish with excellent figures of three for 18 in four overs.

Pacer Muzarabani comes back. Samson looks to turn the first ball on the leg side but gets a thick outside edge which flies past short thirdman for a four. Five singles from the rest of the over takes India past the 100-run mark.

Part-time spinner Sikandar Raza comes into the attack. He makes a tidy start, conceding four runs in his opening over.

India are 105 for five in 15 overs, with 41 needed from 30 balls for victory.
19:11

India 89-5 (12 ovs) vs Zim 145-7 | Scorecard

Debutant Samson faced with a huge task in the company of Binny. Williams rushes through his third over, giving away just two, as India reach 71 for five from 10 overs, needing 75 from the remaining 10 overs for victory.

Samson gets his first runs in international as he hits Cremer through the off-side for a couple before getting a single. Binny comes down the track but mishits it on the bounce to long-on for one as Cremer gives away seven, in his third over.

Binny decides to do something about the asking run rate which is growing steadily. He gives Williams the charge and lofts it over the covers for a four and cuts the next behind point for the same result.

Samson doing well to take the singles and bring Binny back on strike as he casually taps a full toss on the off-side for one as Williams concedes 11 runs to finish with one for 31 in his four overs.
19:01   Jadhav run out for 5 as India slip further

India 69-5 (9 ovs) vs Zim 145-7 | Scorecard

Williams pegs India back further with the wicket of Uthappa, courtesy of a superb catch on his follow through.

The right-hander walks back after a quickfire innings of 42 from 25 balls, having hit nine fours.

Three wickets in the space of nine deliveries leave India in trouble at 61 for four in the eighth over.

And the flow of wickets continues for the Indians. This time, some poor running between the wickets from Kedar Jadhav (5) causes his downfall as India slip further to be reduced to 69 for five in nine overs. The right-hander took it easy, not expecting the throw to come at his end but was caught short as Muzarabani got a direct hit at the non-striker's end.
18:51   Cremer's double strike lifts Zimbabwe

India 58-3 (7 ovs) vs Zim 145-7 | Scorecard

Left-arm spinner Sean Williams comes into the attack. Vijay takes a cue from his partner and slog sweeps the spinner over midwicket for a six before Uthappa reverse sweeps the last ball for a four to get 13 runs from the over.

Graeme Cremer comes into the attack and strikes with his very first delivery. The first ball is short as Vijay looks to pull but misses it completely and is bowled for 13, after a 53-run second wicket partnership with Uthappa.

Manish Pandey last just three balls and once again it is the quicker ball which does the trick. He rocks back to turn the ball on the leg side but is beaten by the googly which comes in and is adjudged leg before wicket. A harsh call considering the ball struck him in front of the leg stump and looked to be heading down the leg side.

Kedar Jadhav gets off the mark with a single to deep midwicket as India are reduced to 58 for three in seven overs.

A superb start from Cremer -- two wickets and just a single conceded.
18:42   Uthappa's attack lifts India after early wicket

India 44-1 (5 ovs) vs Zim 145-7 | Scorecard

Christopher Mpofu comes into the attack in place of Muzarabani, who bowled just one over with the new ball.

The second ball is short and Uthappa helps himself to another four, pulling it over midwicket.

The flow of boundaries from Uthappa's bat continues as the right-hander flicks on the pads fine on the leg side for a four.

The next ball is again hit through the leg side for the third four of the over as Uthappa races to 27 from 18 balls, having hit six fours already.

Chamu Chibhabha comes into the attack with Zimbabwe keen to stop India's charge.

But no stopping Uthappa, who hits the last two balls of the over for boundaries. On both occasions, Chibhabha drifted on the pads and Uthappa is delighted to despatch them both for fours as India race to 44 for one in five overs with Uthappa on 35 from 20 balls.

However, he is dismissed off the very next delivery. Rahane turns it on the leg side and sets off for a quick run but his partner Murali Vijay is not interested and the India captain is run out for four.

Robin Uthappa gets off the mark with a single as he reverse sweeps it on the off-side.
18:09   Chibhabha hits fifty but India limit Zimbabwe to 145

Zim 145-7 (20 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Binny comes back for his second spell. He gets the wicket of Charles Coventry, who is trapped leg before wicket for four. It turns out to be a good over under the circumstances, giving away four runs while getting the wicket of Coventry to check Zimbabwe's charge.

Infact, Chibhabha nearly lost his wicket as the leading edge just about managed to evade Rahane in the covers.

Bhuvneshwar has been pretty effective in the death overs and Rahane calls him yet again to do the job. He mixes his pace and length quite well and concedes just five runs, in the 17th over.

But Mohit starts his third over with a length ball on the stumps which Chibhabha heaves on the leg side for a four.

Two balls later, Craig Ervine lofts another length delivery over mid-off for a four as Mohit goes for 11 runs in the over.

Zimbabwe again lose a wicket just when they were starting to get a bit of momentum. It is the key wicket of Chibhabha, who is beaten by a superb yorker from Bhuvneshwar and is bowled after a good innings of 67 from 51 balls.

In the same over, Bhuvi ends Ervine's innings with another unplayable yorker which beats the left-hander and crashes into the stumps.

A wide down the leg side gifts Zimbabwe five extra runs and spoils his figures somewhat as Bhuvi ends with good figures of two for 26 in his four overs.

Mohit starts the final over in perfect fashion, a full yorker outside the off-stump, which beats Malcolm Waller. The next ball is a slower ball which the right-hander drives down to long-off for just a single.

Mohit bowls a slower bouncer which Prosper Utseya mishits on the leg side and Axar takes a good catch diving forward at deep midwicket.

Just four runs from the final over as Zimbabwe finish on 145 for seven in their 20 overs.

Zim 112-3 (15 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Mohit comes back as Chibhabha hammers the second ball through the covers for a four. Two balls later he again makes most of a loose delivery, hitting it past point for another four. Chibhabha has been among the runs and he looks keen to make most of his recent good run.

Chibhabha keeping the scoreboard moving for Zimbabwe in the middle overs. Another good over from Axar before Chibhabha lofts the last ball over the covers for a four to take Zimbabwe past the 100-run mark.

In the next over, Chibhabha races to his fifty from 38 balls with a single on the leg side. Sandeep drops short and the right-hander hammers it over point for another four as Zimbabwe reach 112 for three in 15 overs.

A poor outing with the ball for Sandeep, who has gone for 39 in his four overs while taking a wicket.
17:36   Williams out for 17, Zimbabwe lose 3rd wicket

Zim 89-3 (12 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Sandeep comes back for his second spell. A reasonably good over till Williams carts the fifth ball over the leg side for a four to make it nine runs from the over.

In the next over, Patel strikes with the wicket of left-hander Williams, who is caught and bowled for 17.

Left-arm spinner Patel continues his good form in Zimbabwe. He has once again been very good with the ball, taking one for 17 in three overs.
17:18

Zim 76-2 (10 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Binny is taken off after just over and he makes way for part-timer Murali Vijay.  Both Sean Williams and Chibhabha opt to play with caution as they collect six singles from the over.

Spin from both ends as left-arm spinner Axar Patel is called into the attack. Williams tries to reverse sweep but misses and even wicketkeeper Uthappa can't collect it to give away four byes.

Chibhabha and Williams looking to play it sensibly against the spinners as they pick another four singles to make it eight from the over. There is a loud appeal for caught behind off the last delivery as Uthappa is convinced that Williams edged it trying to reverse but the umpire turns it down.

Vijay continues and nearly gets a wicket. Chibhabha makes room and looks to drive it through the off-side but is beaten by one that turns big and he is lucky that the ball missed the stumps.

In the next over, Patel drops it short and Chibhabha pulls it through midwicket for a four as Zimbabwe reach 76 for two in 10 overs.

Chibhabha is playing a good hand on 30 from 24 balls, while Williams is on 10 from 13 balls.

Zim 49-2 (6 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

The second ball is a long hop which Raza pulls for a four and the fifth ball is hit over the off-side for the same result as Binny goes for 10 runs in his first over.

Double change for India as Mohit Sharma comes into the attack, taking over from Sandeep, who took one for 22 in two overs.

Mohit strikes in his very first over with the wicket of Raza, who is caught at thirdman for seven as Zimbabwe are reduced to 49 for two in six overs.
16:53   Sandeep strikes early, Masakadza out for 19

Zim 35-1 (4 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Bhuvneshwar starts his second over with a short ball which Masakadza pulls on the leg side for a boundary but just a single comes from the rest of the over.

In the next over, Sandeep oversteps to give away a no-ball and also a free hit. Masakadza makes most of the free hit, lofting it over long-on for a six but the pacer gets revenge from the very next delivery.

Masakadza looks to steer it to thirdman but only manages to get an edge which is taken by wicketkeeper Uthappa to get the right-hander for 19.

Sikandar Raza gets off the mark with three runs through the off-side before Chibhabha pulls the next ball for a four.

Despite the wicket, Zimbabwe have managed to get off to a good start to race to 35 for one in four overs.
16:46

He has played 21 first class matches, scoring 1386 runs at an average of 44 with five centuries and four fifties. He was picked in India's limited overs squad for the England tour last year but could not get a single game.
