World Cup Live: Dhoni, bowlers set up a fighting win over WI

India have finally managed to secure a four-wicket win over West Indies. In a paltry chase of 183, India struggled in the chase with Jerome Taylor leading the fight for West Indies. 

But Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane first added 43 runs for fourth wicket, which gave India a chance in the match. 

MS Dhoni kept his cool and guided India home with a brace finishing with an unbeaten 45.

Taylor was the pick of the bowlers with 2-33, while Andre Russell also picked up 2-43.

West Indies haven't given up their hope of an unlikely win as Andre Russell has Ravindra Jadeja walking back for 13. 

Jadeja was hurried on by a shortish delivery, which caught the edge of his bat to hit it to Marlon Samules, who took the catch off the rebound. 

Dhoni will hold the key for India with not too much of batting left. India need 48 runs from 120 balls.

Dwayne Smith strikes now for West Indies as he removes Suresh Raina for 22. 

Loose shot from Rahane as he goes after a wide delivery from Smith only to edge it to Denesh Ramdin behind the stumps. 

West Indies are fighting hard in this match as India were 107-5 after 33 overs. 

India need 76 runs from 27 overs.

Kemar Roach now gets into the act as he had Ajinkya Rahane walking back for 14. 

Rahane went in for the appeal and the replays didn't show much on the snicko meter. The umpire however went ahead with his original decision and gave Rahane the marching orders. 

India in a spot of bother now as they were 78-4 after 18 overs.

Andre Russell dents further blow for India as he removes Virat Kohli for 33. 

A well directed short delivery from Russell had Kohli going in for a pull shot, only to hit it to Marlon Samuels at long-leg.

India are in a spot of bother now at 63-3 after 15 overs.

Jerome Taylor strikes again for West Indies as he had Rohit Sharma walking back after being caught behind for 7.

A pitched up delivery from Taylor, as Rohit went for a drive and was safely pouched by Denesh Ramdin much to the delight of West Indies crowd. 

India were 25-2 after 8 overs.

Jerome Taylor strikes the first blow for West Indies as he had Shikhar Dhawan walking back for 9.

Taylor bowling round the stumps, angled the ball in forcing Dhawan to play the ball only to edge it to Darren Sammy to second slips.

Indian openers are back in the middle for the chase of 183. Jerome Taylor will open the proceedings for West Indies. 

First up a nice outswinger from Taylor, Rohit Sharma lets it go. 

Right on the money again from Taylor as Rohit drops it and shoots off for a single. 

Good pace and bounce from Taylor as Shikhar Dhawan lets it go. 

Dhawan too gets off the mark with a single towards third man. 

India were 2-0 after 1 over.

Jason Holder's cameo comes to an end as he skied one to Virat Kohli at long off.

Holder came in at a precarious situation, before he used the long handle to good effect to frustrate Indians. 

Holder was dismissed by Ravindra Jadeja for 57. 

Indian pacers were impressive in the morning, with Mohammad Shami was the pick of the bowlers with 3-35.

Jason Holder is waging a lone battle for West Indies with a 56-ball half-century. 

West Indies were reeling at one stage, before Holder tore into Indian bowlers by smashing them to all corners of the park.

Coming in at No. 8, stitched a 39-runs stand with Darren Sammy before joining hands with Jerome Taylor and putting another half-century stand. 

Umesh Yadav ended the partnership with a simple caught and bowled, as Taylor was out for 11.

At the end of 43 overs West Indies were 175-9

Mohammad Shami strikes in his comeback spell to dent West Indies further. 

West Indies looked to have put on a decent partnership, courtesy of Jason Holder and Darren Sammy. 

But Shami removed Sammy with a short delivery, which bounced a bit too much for Sammy's liking and ended up gloving it to MS Dhoni behind the stumps. 

Sammy made 26 as West Indies were 125-8 after 36 overs.

Ravindra Jadeja gets into the act now as Andre Russell threw his wicket away for 8. 

Going for another hoick, Russell didn't get the distance only height and was taken easily by Virat Kohli at long-off.

Johnathan Carter's innings is cut short as R Ashwin had the southpaw walking back for 21. 

Carter looking to sweep Ashwin, got a top edge and was safely taken by Mohammad Shami at long leg boundary. 

West Indies wickets continue to tumble as they were 72-6 after 22 overs.

Jonathan Carter and Lendl Simmons are playing it safe as West Indies look to rebuild after early jolts. 

After the initial burst from the seamers, spinner R Ashwin and Mohit Sharma have eased themselves into a good spell.

The duo have dried the runs for West Indies with Dhoni too providing them good field settings 

But just as we speak, Simmons is making a long walk back for 9. 

Simmons was undone by a short delivery, as he top-edged it to Umesh Yadav at long leg.

Mohammad Shami strikes again for India as he catches the big fish Chris Gayle for 21.

Gayle who looked aggressive after the run out, was undone by a short delivery and was safely pouched by Umesh Yadav at square leg.

Yadav then castled Denesh Ramdin for first ball duck.

West Indies were 35-4 after 9.1 overs.

West Indies are on the back foot early as they have lost Marlon Samuels now. 

Chris Gayle pulled one from outside off stump, but falls short of Mohit Sharma, who darts one back to the Kohli to complete an easy run out. 

Gayle then took on Umesh Yadav smashing him for a six and a boundary as West Indies were 28-2 after 8 overs.

West Indies are off to a sedate start after electing to bat first at WACA.

Mohammad Shami has been inconsistent with his line, but hasn't given much away. 

Umesh Yadav on the other hand has been superb with the new ball and already bowled a maiden to Chris Gayle. 

As we speak Shami strikes as he had Smith walking back for 6. 

Smith looking to cut the ball that was too close to him, edged it to MS Dhoni.

First up is a good swinging delivery. Next up is a half-hearted shot from Dwayne Smith, fall short of the fielder. 

Yadav has been on the money as Smith collects a single through third man.

West Indies needs points if they have to make it to quarter-finals. India will look to maintain their winning run in the World Cup. 

The news from the middle is that West Indies skipper Jason Holder has won the toss and have elected bat first at WACA. 

Skipper MS Dhoni feels losing toss isn't a bad thing as it gives them a chance to chase. 

Both teams have made a change to their side with West Indies bringing in Kemar Roach in place of Suleiman Benn. 

India, meanwhile, has Mohammad Shami back for the game. Bhuvi misses out.
