Buttler is dismissed after a superb knock of 65 from 52 balls, after he added 75 runs from 61 balls for the seventh wicket with Woakes.

Could this be the turning point of the game?

Chris Jordan attempts a quick single off the first ball but is sent back as the fielder at cover hits the stumps. It is referred to the third umpire, who has to decide whether Jordan's bat was in the air when he dived back to make his crease. Drama at the Adelaide Oval, which way will the decision go?

The TV umpire going through a lot of replays, everyone waiting for the decision.

But he has been ruled out!

Two wickets in two balls as England slip to 238 for eight in 46 overs, with 38 needed from 24 balls for victory.

He sprints across for two from the next delivery followed by three singles to make it 11 runs from the over, exactly what England needed.

Shakib to bowl in the Powerplay. Two singles from five deliveries before Woakes steers the last ball behind point for three runs.

In the next over, Buttler (25) gets a lifeline as Mortaza is unable to hold on to a difficult chance on his follow through. The Bangladesh captain is in the middle of a very good spell and gives away just four runs in his ninth over with the field restriction still in place.

However, two balls later Mortaza strikes with the key wicket of Root with a beauty. The ball comes in with the angle, drawing Root into the shot before the late movement takes the ball away and also gets the edge. A top delivery from the fast bowler and England in deep trouble now at 163 for six in the 36th over.

Chris Woakes come into bat at No. 8. He edges the last ball but it falls way short of the fielder at first slip, who lets it go through for a single.

A wicket at possibly the worst time for England, at the start of Powerplay, and only some magic from Buttler can save them for a certain defeat.

 Eng 133-5 (30 ovs) vs B'desh 275-7 | Scorecard

Despite having a truckload of spinners in their team, Bangladesh continue with their pacers and it is working for them quite well.

England have lost two wickets for eight in the last three overs to hand Bangladesh the initiative.

Rubel continues and he is generating a lot of steam here. However, he drops short and Root pulls him through midwicket for a four.

The wickets continue to tumble for England and this time Taylor gets an edge to be caught at first slip off Taskin.

Taylor perishes for one as England collapse to 133 for five after 30 overs. They still need another 143 runs from 20 overs for victory at an asking rate of more than seven.

15:23   Rubel's double strike leaves England in a mess
 Eng 123-4 (27 ovs) vs B'desh 275-7 | Scorecard

Bangladesh using their pacers to keep their spinners for the end when the ball gets a bit older and scoring becomes a bit more difficult.

However, the ploy of using the seamers has bagged Bangladesh another wicket. Rubel produces a peach as it bounces steeply taking Bell by surprise and the edge through to the wicketkeeper.

Bell walks back after a good innings of 63 from 82 balls to leave England in a spot of bother.

That wicket could turn out to be quite critical for England and captain Eoin Morgan has a huge task on hand to steer his team out of this current crisis.

Morgan falls into the trap perfectly as far as Bangladesh are concerned. The England captain ducks under a short ball but decides to have a go at the next one but picks out the fielder on the fence leg fence.

Morgan walks back for a duck as England slip further to 121 for four in the 27th over. Superb stuff from Rubel, a lot of aggression shown by the pacer and his double strike has put Bangladesh in control.

This is Morgan's fifth duck in 12 innings and his job would surely be on the line if England fail today.

James Taylor gets off the mark with a single courtesy of a misfield.

 Eng 118-2 (25 ovs) vs B'desh 275-7 | Scorecard

Just one over for leggie Rahman before Sunny is brought back. Bell takes a single from the second ball to bring up his half-century, from 66 balls and England will want him to continue in the same vein and score a big century.

Another single off the fifth ball helps England bring up their 100, in the 22nd over.

Mortaza will continue after the wicket despite going for runs in the previous over. He is looking to rotate his bowlers around and not allowing England's batsman to settle down against any particular bowler.

A break for the spinners as fast bowler Rubel is called into the attack. He makes a good comeback, conceding just two runs in his fourth over.  But in his next over he drops one short and Root pulls it over midwicket for a four to release the pressure somewhat.

At the halfway stage, England are 118 for two, with another 158 needed from 25 overs for victory.

Bell is batting well on 60 from 77 balls, while Root is on 10 from 18 balls as England seem content to be playing it safe at the moment.
14:43   Hales out for 27, England lose 2nd wicket
 Eng 97-2 (20 ovs) vs B'desh 275-7 | Scorecard

Leg-spinner Sabbir Rahman comes into the attack as England pick five singles off his first over. Surprisingly, Hales, who is renowned for his big hitting in English county cricket is playing a subdued innings.

Nasir Hussain on commentary remarks, "The England players, they play one way in county cricket and one way when they play for England."

Mortaza comes back and it looks like Hales has finally decided to cut loose. A short ball is pulled through midwicket for a four and the next ball is cut over the off-side for the same result.

But two balls later, Mortaza gets his revenge as Hales pokes at one outside the off-stumps and is caught behind for 27.

New batsman Joe Root nearly perishes in the same fashion as the ball passes close to the outside edge.

Sunny is bowling it flat and quick as Bangladesh's tactics are clear -- to stop the flow of runs and build up the pressure. Bell gets an under edge as he looks to cut for three runs to thirdman as England reach 80 for one in 17 overs. They need another 196 runs for victory in 33 overs.
14:25   Bell, Hales steady England after early wicket
 Eng 72-1 (15 ovs) vs B'desh 275-7 | Scorecard

The runs are only coming in singles at the moment for England. Shakib goes for three runs in his second over with Bell surviving a confident shout for LBW as he was beaten while playing the sweep.

Strangely, Bangladesh bring on medium pacer Taskin Ahmed into the attack despite the spinners making an impression in the first few overs.

Change of ends for left-arm spinner Sunny, who takes over from Shakib. A bit of width as Bell cuts it behind point for a boundary and retains strike with a single from the last ball.

Taskin continues and gives just three in his second over as Bangladesh decide to operate with a pacer and spinner in tandem.

Bell is looking in solid touch. Sunny bowls a long hop which Bell pulls comfortably over midwicket for a four. His wicket would be quite crucial for Bangladesh at this stage.

He has eased his way to 36 from 51 balls, while Hales is on 15 as England reach 72 for one in 15 overs.
14:04
 Eng 50-1 (10 ovs) vs B'desh 275-7 | Scorecard

Bangladesh introduce spin in the form of left-armer Arafat Sunny. Against the run of play, England lose the wicket of Ali, who is run out for 19 as Bangladesh make the crucial breakthrough.

Ali came down and tapped it on the leg side and was more than halfway down the pitch but Bell sent him back, maybe a bit late.

Alex Hales, playing his first game of the World Cup, gets off the mark in confident fashion as he drives one through the covers for a four.

Left-arm spin from both ends as Shakib-Al Hasan comes into the attack. Bell leaves the first ball which passes very close to his stumps before he gets a single from the fourth ball for the only run of the over.

Bell is struck on the pads on the backfoot but an inside edge saves him. Two singles from the over takes England to 50 for one in 10 overs with Bell on 24 and Hales on five.

Bangladesh have conceded just seven runs in three overs since the spinners have come on. England will need to keep the scoreboard moving against the spinners or else they will have a tough time in the middle overs.
13:50

Rubel Hossain to bowl the second over. Ali goes after a wide delivery but gets an edge which flies past the slip for a boundary and three balls later he steers it past point for another four.

Ali then survives a huge shout for leg before wicket. The umpire has ruled it out but Ali wants a review which shows that the ball had pitched outside the leg stump. The decision is overturned as England heave a huge sigh of relief.

England are 13 for no loss in two overs with Ali having scored all the runs and Bell yet to get off the mark.

  B'desh 275-7 (50 ovs) vs Eng | Scorecard

Sunny turns the fourth ball behind square on the leg side for two runs before the two batsmen sneak a quick bye from the fifth ball.

Mortaza has a huge swing at the last ball but gets an inside edge for just a single.

Bangladesh finish on a healthy 275 for seven in their 50 overs, despite managing just 38 runs in the last five overs for the loss of three wickets.

But Bangladesh would be happy getting to this total after their horror start, which saw them reeling on eight for two in the third over.

Mahmudullah hit Bangladesh's first ever century in World Cups with a good innings of 103, while Rahim stroked a fluent 89 from 77 balls to rally Bangladesh in the middle overs.

It's a must-win match England as far as their chances of getting to the quarter-finals is concerned. They no doubt have a tough task against Bangladesh's spinners and would be keen to get off to a quick start.

Rahim slaps the fourth ball powerfully down the ground and beats the fielder at long-on who is stationed wide for a boundary to take his score to 85.

Bangladesh have not been able to get the big hits away and have relied mostly on singles and twos in the last few overs. England's bowling has been right up to the task with the pacers mixing it quite well to keep the batsmen guessing.

Rahim flicks Broad over square leg for two runs and then takes one on the off-side. Rahman jumps out of his crease and clubs Broad over midwicket for a six followed by a single on the leg side.

The next ball is again full which Rahim flicks to fine leg for a single. The third ball is also full but the change of pace deceives Mahmudullah who gets just a single.
