Raina shuffles across his stumps and looks to turn Mortaza on the leg side but misses and is struck on the pads.

Bangladesh appeal for the LBW decision but it is turned down by umpire Ian Gould as they decide to take the review.

The replays looks good show but what has gone Raina's way is that the ball pitched just a little bit outside the line of leg stump. That was so close to a wicket!

The next ball beats Raina outside the off-stump as he plays away from his body to one slanting across him. He steers the fourth ball to thirdman for a single.

Rohit plays a cute late cut, opening the face of the bat and guiding it fine past the keeper on the off-side for a four to take India past the 152-run mark.

Rohit then opens the face of the bat and steers the last ball wide of thirdman but gets just a single.

11 runs from Mortaza's comeback helps India release some of the pressure.

Meanwhile, it looks like umpire Aleem Dar has been bitten by a wasp, he clearly looks in some discomfort.

Raina looks to have flicked one fine on the leg side for a four but umpire Dar, who is struggling with the wasp bite, calls it four byes.

The match is interrupted as umpire Dar is attended to by someone from the medical team.

Raina gets off the mark with a single on the leg side and Rohit defends the last ball back to the bowler.

08:20   'India expected to beat Bangladesh, but may not be easy'
Former captain Sunil Gavaskar expects India to beat Bangladesh in their World Cup quarter-final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Thursday, but says it may not be as easy for the defending champions as people feel.

"Bangladesh have a good batting line-up. Mahmudullah can take any game away, Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib can do that. If they bat first and put up 250-odd runs and then the ball starts turning, it may not be easy to chase down the target for India," Gavaskar said.

"No doubt, Indian batting is in fine touch but Zimbabwe stretched them. It is good that Indian batsmen were tested by Zimbabwe. I expect India to win tomorrow but it may not be as easy as many people would think," he added.

08:13   Unbeaten India start as favourites vs Bangladesh
Welcome to the coverage of the second quarter-final of the ICC World Cup between India and Bangladesh, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, on Thursday.

After a listless leadup to the tournament, reigning world champions India have turned into a juggernaut, winning all six of their pool matches and drawing as much admiration for their bowling and fielding as their renowned batting prowess.

India will go into Thursday's match as overwhelming favourites to win but still wary about their opponents. Bangladesh famously beat India at the 2007 World Cup but have beaten their great rivals just once since then.

Bangladesh have won only three one-day internationals in 28 against India but two have been at major tournaments. The last was at the 2012 Asian Cup, which followed a shock win at the 2007 World Cup.

While the term 'surprise package' hardly credits the Tigers' impressive tournament, Bangladesh were fortunate to take a point from a washed-out pool match against Australia and met an England side with morale at rock-bottom.

Perhaps more impressive than knocking out England was pushing New Zealand in the dead rubber loss.
