NZ 150-5 (36 ovs) vs Aus | SCORECARD

Faulkner is called up to bowl the first over of the Batting Powerplay. Taylor throws his bat at the first ball, which is full and wide and moves away, but gets an edge which is brilliantly caught by wicketkeeper Haddin diving full length to his right.

The decision is referred to the television umpire who takes a few look at the replays and rules it in the favour of Australia.

Taylor walks back after a struggling knock of 40 from 72 balls. He put on 111 runs for the fourth wicket with Elliott but it was the latter who did the bulk of the scoring.

A perfect start for Australia in the Powerplay as they strike with the very first delivery of the 36th over.

Two balls later, Faulkner makes it worse for New Zealand with the wicket of Corey Anderson. A quick yorker which the left-hander fails to keep out to be bowled for a duck. Infact, Anderson played down the wrong line, outside the line while leaving a huge gap between the bat and pads and had to pay the price.

Faulkner switches to round the wicket to Luke Ronchi before he decides to go back to over the wicket after a couple of balls.

A double-wicket maiden for Faulkner has put Australia back in control as New Zealand are reduced to 150 for five in 36 overs.
