18:03
The rain continues to play spoilsport as a fresh spell of downpour has once again forced the groundstaff to bring back the covers.

The umpires were expected to conduct an inspect at 545pm local time but have cancelled it for the time being with the rain coming back.

"The rain has returned. The inspection has been delayed. #RCBvsKKR #PepsiIPL," IPL tweets.

A slight drizzle is proving to be a bit of hindrance but nothing can stop the busy groundstaff, who look very focussed on getting the ground dry as early as possible.

The umpires will conduct an inspection at 545pm local time but things don't look encouraging so far.

17:25
So, we are already losing overs with the cut-off mark for reducing overs was 5pm IST.

But the positive news is that the covers are being taken off and the super sopper is busy working around the outfield and trying to take off as much water as possible.

It remains to be seen when the umpires go out and conduct an inspection.

16:51
A lot of the uncovered part of the M Chinnaswamy stadium has turned into big puddles following the heavy rain. With the raining easing up a little, the groundstaff have begun working on the affected part of the outfield.

"Heavy shower has subsided into light drizzle in Bangaluru. They are clearing out the puddles with super soppers. #RCBvsKKR #PepsiIPL," IPL says on Twitter.

15:36   Bangalore win toss, elect to bowl vs Kolkata
Welcome to the coverage of the 33rd match of the Indian Premier League between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders in Bangalore, on Saturday.

RCB captain Virat Kohli has won the toss and elected to bowl against defending champions KKR.

RCB's last match in Bangalore was washed out and Kohli might be expecting the weather to play a part later in the game and that could have been a factor in him bowling first.

Interestingly, both teams have retained the same playing elevens from their last matches.
