Delhi opener Shreyas Iyer struck a quick-fire half-century to put Delhi on the front foot in the chase.

The dashing opener was in the attacking mode right from the outset, smashing Ishwar Pandey for a maximum.

He didn't allow the spinners R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja to settle in with a flurry of boundaries off their over.

The 19-year-old reached the landmark with a brace off Ashwin. The 36-ball knock included 7 hits to fence.

Delhi were 92-2 after 13 overs. Yuvraj too is looking good in the middle and is on 32.

The two quick wickets has had little bearing on the run scoring as Shreyas Iyer and Yuvraj Singh are in a mood to attack Chennai bowlers.

Particularly the Delhi opener Iyer, who is hitting aerial shots with ease and hasn't allowed the spinners to settle in.

With the run rate already below 6 runs per over, Delhi should fancy beating mighty CSK here

After 10 overs, Delhi were 60-2. Iyer is on  40, while Yuvi is on 17.

MS Dhoni and Faf du Plessis are showing urgency in scoring as they have put on a 37 runs stand so far.

Faf du Plessis collected four runs off Yuvraj, while Dhoni played one off his pads for a boundary.

But just as we speak, Albie Morkel strikes for Delhi as he castles fellow countryman for 29.

The reaction suggests the ball kept low as it crashed onto the middle and off stump.

Chennai are off to a cautious start after electing to bat first. Having said that, credit should also go to Delhi bowlers as they have given very little away.

Shahbaz Nadeem and Zaheer Khan have been on the mark and finding boundaries have been difficult.

And just as we speak, Zaheer picks up Brendon McCullum, who was getting frustrated with the amount of dot balls he had faced.

McCullum looking to clear the in field was caught by JP Duminy at mid-on.

CSK were 16-1 after 6 overs.

First up is a quicker delivery from Nadeem, as Smith plays it to covers.

Second delivery draws an appeal, but umpires turns it down.

Good first over as Nadeem concludes it with a maiden.
