LIVE IPL: Watson ton helps Rajasthan seal playoff berth

Chris Morris  to bowl the final over -- Shakib al Hasan on strike, with KKR requiring 16 runs. 

First up is a pitched up delivery, Shakib goes for a hoick, only to hit is straight down Steve Smith's throat. 

Umesh Yadav can olnly pick up a single. Morne Morkel collects a brace. 

A brilliant yorker but can't prevent a single.

Another Yorker, with the game in Rajasthan's kitty. KKR need 11 runs off the final ball. 

A series of yorker means, another single as Rajasthan beat KKR by 9 runs.

Shane Watson now strikes with the ball as well as he had Yusuf Pathan walking back to the pavillion for 44. 

KKR needed the talisman to stay, but he perished under the scoreboard pressure as he was caught by Dhawal Kulkarni at long-off. 

New batsman Azhar Mamhood, pulls one towards deep midwicket boundary to ease some pressure. 

After 16 overs, KKR were 151-6.

Rajasthan Royals turns to Chris Morris to provide the breakthrough and he doesn't disappoint.

Morris strikes off his second ball as he had dangerous Andre Russell caught at the extra cover boundary by Dhawal Kulkarni for 37. 

Russell's 20-ball knock included four hits to the fence and two over it. 

Morris then had Suryakumar Yadav walking back after edged one to Sanju Samson behind the stumps.

KKR were 133-5 after 14 overs.

In comes Brainder Sran into the attack after a lengthy delay in the middle. Andre Russell collects a leg bye. 

Yusuf Pathan hits one through the covers for a single. Russell then dispatches Sran out of the park with a 106 meter six. 

Russell then down on one knee creams one through the off side for another boundary. 

A single to end the over as KKR were 131-3. Russell is on 37 off just 19 balls. 

Pathan is on 40 off 28 balls.

Dhawal Kulkarni strikes in his second spell as he removes well-set Manish Pandey for 21. 

Pandey who gave himself at bit of room, hit one straight to Chris Morris in covers. 

Andre Russell got off the mark with a lucky boundary. He followed it with a cracking boundary through the midwicket region. 

A dot to end the over as KKR were 87-3.

James Faulkner now introduced into the attack as Manish Pandey slaps it to long for a single. 

Faulkner digs one short as Yusuf Pathan dispatches it to square leg boundary for a maximum. 

Pathan then slaps it through the off side, but Stuart Binny fails to stop the ball and it runs it to the boundary. 

Misfield gives Pathan another single. 

After 7 overs, KKR were 66-2. Pandey is on 14, while Pathan is on 25.

After Chris Morris, it was Dhawal Kulkarni's turn to strike as he removed the other opener Robin Uthappa for 14. 

Uthappa was looking good in the middle, with couple of crisp boundaries, but he lofted one straight to Steve Smith, who was stationed at mid-on. 

KKR were 21-2 after 3 overs.

Chris Morris strikes in his opening over as he removes Gautam Gambhir for 1.

Morris who was hit for a boundary by Robin Uthappa, came back strongly with a lovely bouncer and was safely taken by Stuart Binny at backward square leg. 

KKR were 14-1 after 2 overs.

Rajasthan Royals opener smashed 57-ball century to guide the hosts to a competitive 199-5. 

The Australian reached his second IPL century with a boundary off Umesh Yadav in the final over. He remained an unbeaten on 104. 

Rajasthan , who won the toss and elected to bat first, got off to a flier as Watson and Rahane put on a 80 runs stand for the opening wicket. 

But then wickets fell and seemed to peg Rajasthan back. But Watson and Karun Nair put on 40 runs which revived the innings. 

For KKR, Andre Russell was the pick of the bowlers with 3-32.

Shane Watson is counter-punching KKR bowlers as he welcomes Azhar Mahmood with a boundary off the first ball -- umpire has his hand outstretched -- no ball. 

Watson then dispatches the free-hit into the crowd, 

Karun Nair hits one hard, but Andre Russell keeps it to a single. 

Watson then clears his front foot and creams a boundary. 

At the end of 17 overs, Rajasthan were 169-4. Watson is on 87, while Nair is on 7.

Andre Russell has pulled things back for KKR with some quick strikes. After dismissing Steve Smith couple of overs ago, he had exciting Sanju Samson walking back to the pavillion for 8. 

Samson, looked good in the middle and hit Russell for a boundary, but fell while attempting another big shot. 

Rajasthan were 122-3 after 13 overs. Watson is on 56 and he is joined in the middle by James Faulkner.

Shane Watson struck a brilliant 31-ball half-century to derail KKR bowlers. 

He has been positive on the go and took the attack to the opposition. His  knock included five boundaries and two sixes. 

The host however lost Steven Smith, just when he was looking good in the middle.

Rajasthan were 110-2 after 10.5 overs.

Shane Watson and Ajinkya Rahane are off to a flying start after winning the toss and electing to bat first. 

KKR introduced spin in the form for Shakib al Hasan and he was dispatched into the crowd from Watson. 

He then smashed him for a boundary. 

Azhar Mahmood, who is playing his first game in this season was also not spared and was smashed it for a maximum from Rahane. 

Rahane then cut Mahmood for a boundary. 

But Rahane was on his way back after he was run out for 37. Rajasthan were 80-1 after 7 overs.

Rajasthan are off to a bright start after electing to bat first. After picking up 23 runs off the first two overs, KKR introduce Umesh Yadav. 

Shane Watson welcomes Yadav with a excellent shot off the front foot boundary. 

Yadav comes back strongly and keeps it to single for the rest of the over. 

Rajasthan were 31-0 after 3 overs. Watson is on 14, while Ajinkya Rahane is on 13.

Welcome to the virtual quarter-final clash between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals. 

Who ever wins this, will seal their berth for the Play-offs. Rajasthan have already announced that Steve Smith will lead the side, despite Shane Watson's presence in the team. 

Then news from the middle is that Rajasthan Royals have won the toss and elected to bat first at the Brabourne Stadium. 

Both teams have made changes to their side. KKR have brought in Azhar Mahmood in place of Sunil Narine.

Bhuvneshwar to bowl the final over. Karthik paddles the first delivery for a single to fine leg as the right-hander is nearly run out attempting the second run but is sent back.

Kohli gets a full toss but hits it straight back at his partner who sets off for a quick run but ends up deflecting it back to the bowler, who completes an easy run out.

12 needed from 4 balls for victory.

Bhuvi bowls a perfect yorker but Kohli squeezes it past point for a four, that was an unbelievable shot!

He then shuffles across and steers it through the gap between thirdman and point for a four.

Kohli lofts the next ball down the ground as Warner takes the catch on the edge of the ropes but is unable to maintain his balance and falls over but has touched the ropes as he tried to deflect the ball in.

The umpires check the replays which confirm that Warner ran out of room and touched the rope while falling over and it is ruled a six.

Infact, Warner started celebrating before he had steadied himself and despite taking the catch lost his balance in the process of his fist pumping and ultimately tumbled over!

Kohli finishes unbeaten on a superb innings of 44 from 19 balls, having hit three fours and three sixes, to steer RCB to 83 for four as they win by six wickets with a ball to spare.

RCB jump to second in the table with 15 points from 13 matches, while Sunrisers are fourth with 14 points from the same number of matches.

Praveen Kumar comes into the attack and he strikes with his first delivery. Mandeep fails to make most of a full toss on the leg stump and is caught at deep square leg for one.

Kohli makes room but Praveen bowls it wide of the stumps as the RCB captain can't get his bat to that one.

He turns the third ball on the leg side for a couple before lofting the next over midwicket for a six followed by one to midwicket.

Dinesh Karthik drives the last ball to long-on for one as RCB reach 68 for three in five overs with 13 runs needed from the last over for victory.

Leg-spinner Karn Sharma comes into the attack. Kohli whips the first ball to deep midwicket for two runs and gets one from the next ball.

Mandeep comes down and has a go but can't get it away for just one to run to long-off.

Kohli miscues it on the leg side as he attempts the big hit as the bowler Karn goes for the catch at midwicket but fails to hold on and also gives away two runs.

Kohli comes down again but can't get under the ball for two more runs on the leg side.

A change of bat does the trick for Kohli, who lofts the last ball over long-on for a six.

RCB are 58 for two in four overs with another 23 needed from two overs for victory.

Moises Henriques comes into the attack. He beats Kohli with the first ball who gets the next to deep midwicket for a single.

Gayle, on strike, as Henriques attempts the bouncer but it goes very high and is called a wide for height.

Another short ball and this time Gayle hits it straight into the hands of Dhawan at deep midwicket.

Gayle walks back after an entertaining innings of 35 from 10 balls.

No relief in sight for Sunrisers though as AB de Villiers is the next man walking out to the middle.

But he falls off the very first delivery he faces, lofting it down the ground but is caught at long-on to walk back for a duck.

Kohli gets a single from the fifth ball but Mandeep Singh is unable to get a run from the last ball.

A brilliant over from Henriques, who takes the two big wickets while giving away just three runs.
00:27   Gayle's attack gives RCB a flying start in rain-hit match

The impressive Bhuvneshwar Kumar to bowl the second over and he would be looking to continue his good run with the ball.

He bowls a beauty first ball as Gayle gets a leading edge trying to turn it on the leg side but it flies over short thirdman for a four.

The next ball is short and this time Gayle pulls over midwicket for another four.

The pacer finally gets it right with a yorker outside the off-stump which Gayle is unable to get away.

But he comes down the track carts the next ball, which is full, over midwicket for a six.

Bhuvi bowls a low full toss on the leg stump which Gayle manages to flick
behind square on the leg side for another four.

He lofts the last ball over the off-side for a six to race to 35 from nine balls, having hit four fours and three sixes.

RCB off to a flier as they race to 41 for no loss in two overs, with another 40 needed from the last four overs for victory.

The two RCB openers -- Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli -- walk out to open the innings and they have a huge task on hand.

They will be desperate to make most of the two overs of Batting Powerplay.

Gayle starts off in smashing fashion pulling Dale Steyn for a four through square leg before lofting the next over long-on for a six.

Gayle swinging away at everything now as the third ball goes behind square for one.

Virat Kohli also goes on the attack right from the word go as he flicks Steyn over midwicket for a four.

He lofts the fifth ball again on the leg side but this time fails to make proper connection as it falls short of Henriques at deep midwicket for two runs.

The last ball is a full toss which Kohli fails to get away as 17 runs come form the first over.

The match is set to resume again and RCB have been set a revised Duckworth-Lewis target of 81 in six overs.
