Mumbai's openers, Lendl Simmons and Parthiv Patel, who have hit a rich vein of form in the last few matches walk out to open the innings. Their good opening stands have been integral in Mumbai's amazing turnaround in the second half of the T20 league.

Veteran Ashish Nehra, who has taken 22 wickets in the tournament, will bowl the first over.

The first ball is bang on target as Simmons comes forward and drives to the covers but fails to beat the fielder.

He inside edges the next ball for a single on the leg side to get Mumbai off the mark.

Parthiv defends the next two balls on the off-side before he is run out attempting a quick single. Faf du Plessis, at mid-on, charges in and scores a direct hit despite being off balance as he under arms the ball sideways on the stumps. That was an unbelievable piece of fielding from the South African!

Simmons leaves the last ball as Nehra makes a superb start, conceding just a single in the first over.
