Meanwhile, Kohli has decided to give Umesh Yadav the ball for the first time in this innings. The quick looks rusty and seems struggling to get his line right.

Van Zyl and Harmer have started settling down well.

A boundary by Van Zyl, off Ashwin, helps South Africa get past the 100-run mark, in the 35th over.

However, the spinners strike again.

Jadeja first has Harmer (11) caught by Rahane at slip. Ashwin then repeats the process to account for Van Zyl (36).

India need two more wickets tow in.

Captain Hashim Amla walks out to bat with his side having made a horrendous start.

South Africa have made an unusual move at the start of their fourth innings.

Vernon Philander has been asked to open the innings with Dean Elgar.

It'll be R Ashwin for India. It's an expensive first over, eight runs coming off it with Elgar finding the fence.

Saha (on nine) gets a lucky reprieve when he is adjudged not out off Tahir, when replays show a clear bat-pad.

A single by Saha, off Harmer, helps India get to the 200-run mark, in the 75th over.

However, that's just about it as Tahir picks up his fourth wicket in the next over, having Saha (20) caught behind.

Ajinkya Rahane replaces his captain at the crease.

South Africa have had just one success in terms of wickets but their bowlers have bowled a tight line, not allowing the Indian batsmen to score freely.

And it is the pressure that has ensured them a wicket.

Good going considering they are missing their strike bowler.

And there's more.

Imran Tahir replaces Van Zyl (4-1-5-1) in the attack in the 58th over and strikes first ball, having Pujara (77) caught by Amla at first slip.

He strikes with his fourth over, having Kohli caught behind.

Another part-timer has done the trick for South Africa.

Kohli's 71-ball 29 was inclusive of four hits to the fence and he helped Pujara add 66 runs for the third wicket.
