Welcome to the coverage of Day 4 of the second Test match between India and South Africa in Bangalore, on Tuesday.

The start has once again been delayed because of a wet outfield caused by overnight rain. The umpires will conduct an inspection of the conditions at 1000 IST before making a decision on when play will start on Day 4.

"If there is no further rain, we can get the ground ready by 10am," says one of the groundstaff.

However, after two successive days of no cricket because of rain, there are some encouraging signs as far as the weather is concerned.

There has been no rain for the past few hours and the groundstaff is busy working on removing the covers and getting the ground ready at the earliest.
