However, Mohit strikes in his next over and it is the slower ball that does the trick. Du Plessis plays too early and skies it on the leg side to be caught by Virat Kohli for 16.

But hold on, the umpire wants to check the front foot and replays shows that maybe Mohit has overstepped the crease and could be penalized with a no-ball.

To rub salt on Mohit's wounds, it is a no-ball which means Faf will get a lifeline and the gift of a free hit. Captain Dhoni have a long chat with umpire Shamshuddin about that no-ball but du Plessis happy and smiling.

De Kock cuts the free hit delivery, short and wide, but fails to get hold of it for a single to thirdman.

De Kock shuffles across but misses one drifting down the leg side but gets a wide anyways. The left-hander gets a single from the next ball before Bhuvi bowls another wide followed by one to Miller from the last ball.

India's pacers keeping it on the stumps to the two left-handers, conscious of not giving any width.

Miller turns the first ball of Mohit's second over through midwicket for a couple followed by a single two balls later.

De Kock steals a tight single off the fifth ball with Dhawan failing to collect the ball cleanly as he rushed in from midwicket.

A rare wide delivery as Miller takes full toll and crashes it through the covers for a four.

Another slightly wide delivery in the next over is driven through the covers by de Kock as Rohit gives chase and keeps it down to three.

The last ball is on the pads as Bhuvi drifts it on the pads from round the wicket and de Kock picks it over fine leg for a six as SA reach 30 for no loss in five overs.

SA 5-0 (2 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

As expected, left-hander David Miller walks out to open the batting, with Quinton de Kock while Amla drops down the order.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to open the bowling and facing him is de Kock. The right-arm pacer immediately settles into a good line and length, keeping it on the stumps to the left-hander, who can only defend it on the leg side. A perfect start from Bhuvi as he starts off with a maiden over.

Mohit Sharma to bowl the second over. Miller tucks the first ball on the leg side for one to get SA off the mark. The next ball is wide and full and de Kock times it beautifully through the covers for a four to open his account in some style.

He gets an inside edge off the last ball but it goes on to his pads as five come from the over.

Interestingly, David Miller is expected to open the batting for South Africa which means either Quinton de Kock or Hashim Amla will drop a place down the order.

South Africa look to go on the attack right from the word go.

Will India counter South Africa's move by opening with a spinner?

12:55   Tight security in Rajkot ahead of India vs SA 3rd ODI
One major worrying factor for the organisers is the threat of disruption issued by Hardik Patel's Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS), who have stated their plan to use the game as a platform for their ongoing agitation for reservation.

Patel issued a threat on Friday stating they would block the way of the two teams to the stadium with their community members blocking off the venue as tickets were allegedly not sold to his community members. But that threat did not materalise as a huge cordon of policemen all along the route ensure there were no dramas.

"SCA should clarify why they declared that all tickets are sold inspite of the fact that many tickets remain unsold," Patel had said in a media statement.

Security is expected to be tighter than usual in view of this threat to the game's conduct.

According to a report in the Times of India, members of the Bharatiya Janata Party have bought close to 20,000 tickets to nullify the disruption threat from Patel.

They will be wearing T-shirts with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's image printed on them.

12:43   Resurgent India eye series lead on flat Rajkot wicket
High on confidence after levelling the series, a resurgent India will look to capitalise on their return to winning ways when they take on formidable South Africa in the crucial third One-Day International, in Rajkot, on Sunday.

The splendid 22-run victory in Indore on Wednesday was a shot-in-the-arm not only for the team but also for under-fire captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni after they lost the series opener in Kanpur.

Dhoni, whose very place in the eleven had come under scrutiny, answered his critics with match-winning 92 not out, his 16th fifty as captain, which pulled the squad out of a rut and placed it with a fighting total in hand.

Dhoni's pyrotechnics was backed up by some excellent spin bowling by Axar Patel and Harbhajan Singh, who was drafted into the squad as cover for the injured Ravichandran Ashwin.

The confidence of the Indians will have been lifted by this come-from-behind victory after they were struggling at 124 for six around the 30-over mark before posting a challenging score of 247, thanks in the main to Dhoni's blazing 86-ball knock that contained four sixes and seven fours.

The victory in Indore helped India halt South Africa's three-match winning run on this tour, the visitors' other two victories having come in the best-of-three T20 series held prior to the ODI contest.

While Dhoni's return to his clinically finishing best is a big plus for the team, the lack of runs from the blade of Virat Kohli, as well as key members -- Suresh Raina and Shikhar Dhawan could be a bit worry for the hosts.

Kohli, Raina and Dhawan are capable run-getters who would relish batting on what is expected to be a batsman-friendly track at the Khandheri Stadium.
