Successive boundaries by Pandey, off Coulter-Nile, in the 14th over takes KKR further close. 

A single by Gambhir in the next over, by Zaheer, seals it for Kolkata. The home team win by nine wickets, with a whopping 35 balls to spare.

Gambhir remains unbeaten on 38, and giving him company is Pandey, the duo having added 30 runs in an unbroken second wicket stand.

Amit Mishra finally provides Delhi a much needed breakthrough, having Uthappa (35) caught by Morris at long-off. 

Uthappa's 33-ball innings was inclusive of seven hits to the fence, and he helped his captain add 69 runs (off 58 balls) for the opening wicket. 

Manish Pandey is the new man in. At the halfway mark KKR have reached 69 for one.

Uthappa hits successive boundaries to end the third over. KKR is coasting here.

Delhi forced to make a bowling change as early as the fourth over, Chris Morris replacing an expensive Zaheer (1-0-16-0). Uthappa hits the fourth ball to the fence. 

A change of ends for the captain, Zaheer replaces Coulter-Nile (2-0-13-0) in the fifth over. Six comes off it with Uthappa finding the fence again.

Carlos Brathwaite replaces his captain in the seventh over. He gives away just two runs first up.

Spin is introduced in the eighth over, Amit Mishra repplacing Morris (2-0-12-0). A single by Uthappa, off the second ball, helps raise KKR reach the 50-run mark.

Nathan Coulter-Nile to start the proceedings for Delhi with the ball, and it will be Gautam Gambhir and Robin Uthappa first up for Kolkata. Just four off the over, Uthappa hitting the final ball to the midwicket fence. 

Zaheer Khan to bowl the second over. Gambhir welcomes him with a boundary. The KKR captain gets another boundary off his opposite number, behind square this time. 

Uthappa also finds the fence as 16 runs come off the over.

In his second over Chawla gets past Morris' (11) defence. And in his third, Hogg has Samson (15) caught behind. 

Hogg gets his third wicket in his final over, having Mishra (3) caught by Suryakumar Yadav at first slip. Hogg ends with impressive figures of three for 19.

Hastings strikes in his third over, having Zaheer Khan (4) caught by Gambhir at cover.

Kolkata bowl out Delhi for a paltry 98. It should be easy for the home side now.

Delhi: 80-6

Brad Hogg is handed the ball immediately after resumption, replacing Munro (1-0-7-0). He strikes with his final ball, having Negi (11) out stumped).

It's twin spin for KKR, Piyush Chawla replacing Yadav (3-0-21-0). Carlos Brathwaite is the new man in. And he starts off with a huge six. However, Chawla has the last laugh, trapping the West Indies player plumb in front. 

Chris Morris is the new man in. He reverse sweeps Hogg to the fence.

Delhi: 53-4

Kolkata make their first bowling change in the fourth over, John Hastings replacing Yadav (1-0-10-0). Karun Nair has joined Mayank at the crease.

Mayank (9) doesn't last long either, Russell having him caught by Brad Hogg at third man.

Sanju Samson is the new man in. He starts off with a boundary off Russell.

Hastings strikes in his second over, having Nair (3) caught by Manish Pandey at backward point. It's a wicket maiden.  Pawan Negi is the new man in.

Another change for KKR, Colin Munro replaces Hastings (2-1-1-1) in the eighth over. Naegi hits the fourth ball for a huge six over long-on. 

A single by Samson, off Yadav, helps Delhi reach the 50-run mark, in the ninth over. Time for the first strategic time-out.

Russell albeit strikes in his second over, De Kock (17) mistiming a shot and Yusuf Pathan making no mistake at mid-off. Big wicket this.

Shreyas Iyer is the new man in. He lasts just three balls, Russell having him out leg before.

Mayank Agarwal and Quinton de Kock to open the batting for Delhi, ad it will be Andre Russell first up for Kolkata. Mayank lofts the first ball over cover for a boundary. 

Umesh Yadav to bowl the second over. De Kock smashes the fourth ball to the fence, and the fifth over it.

19:34   IPL Updates! Kolkata win toss, invite Delhi to bat first
Good evening and welcome to the coverage of the Indian Premier League match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Daredevils at the Eden Gardens. 

The news is that Gautam Gambhir has won the toss and invited Delhi to bat first.

"The wickets won't change that much, and we will try to restrict them," reasons Gambhir, adding, "Hope we can give Kallis (new KKR coach) a winning start."

Zaheer Khan, his opposite number is not too perturbed with the toss loss, admitting he would have batted first.

"Excited to be back with this young side. It's good that we are batting first as it gives us time to settle down," explains Zaheer.
