De Kock (59) smashes the first ball of teh 14th over, off Sahu, for a boundary over cover. 

Two balls later, Pawan Negi smashes a six over midwicket to seal Delhi's first win.

Delhi thrash Punjab by eight wickets, with 39 balls left, their biggest win in terms of balls left.

A single by De Kock, off Axar Patel, helps Delhi get to the 100-run mark, in the 13th over. 

In the same over, Axar gets past the defenses of Sanju Samson (33).

Samson's 32-ball innings was inclusive of three boundaries and a six, and he helped De Kock add 91 runs (off 64 balls) for the second wicket, laying the foundation of the innings.

Delhi get off to a horrid start, Sandeep Sharma having Shreyas Iyer (3) caught behind. 

But Quinton de Kock and Sanju Samson combining well for the second wicket. 

They have added almost 100 runs so far. 

The South Africa completes his fifty with a huge six off Johnson.

A direct hit from Duminy cuts short Saha's (3) stay. Mitchell Johnson walks out to bat. 

Zaheer gets his first wicket when he has Mohit Sharma (15) caught by Morris at mid-off.

Morris cleans up Johnson (4) to end with figures of one for 19. 

A six by Pradeep Sahu, off Brathwaite, helps Punjab get past the 100-run mark, in the final over. 

Delhi restrict Punjab to a paltry 111 for nine.

Punjab: 63-5

After the first strategic timeout, Mishra strikes a third time, having Maxwell (0) caught by Brathwaite.

Punjan saunter to 58 for four at the halfway stage. Then, in the 11th over, Mishra strikes for a fourth time, getting past the defense of Manan (32).

Axar Patel and Wriddhiman Saha are the two new batsmen at the crease.

Punjab: 52-3

Punjab 37 for one after the first six overs. Amit Mishra replaces Zaheer (3-1-8-0) in the attack in the seventh over. 

He strikes first ball, having Marsh (13) stumped). A boundary by Vohra, off Morris, helps Punjab get past the 50-run mark, in the eighth over.

In his second over Mishra has David Miller (9) out leg before.

Manan Vohra and Murali Vijay to open the batting for Punjab and it will be Zaheer Khan first up for Delhi. Just tow off it. 

Pawan Negi to bowl the second over. Vohra hits the second ball for a boundary. Zaheer drops a catch off the third ball, but fortunately Vijay (1) is run out in the resulting melee.

Shaun Marsh is the new man in. He starts off with a boundary.

Good evening and welcome to the coverage of the Indian Premier League match between Delhi Daredevils and Kings XI Punjab.

News is, Delhi have won the toss and invited Punjab to bat first.

"The wicket looks on the slower side but with a young batting side it is better to have a target," reasons captain Zaheer Khan.

David Miller, his opposite number, concurs, admitting he would have liked to bowl first as well.
