India make a bowling change in the 17th over, Ishant Sharma replacing Mohammed Shami (7-1-27-0). Brathwaite takes three runs off his first ball.

It's a twin bowling change, R Ashwin replacing Bhuvneshwar (8-4-7-0) in the 18th over. Brathwaite hits a boundary over midwicket in what is the lone scoring shot in the over.

A no ball from Ishant, in his second over, brings up the 50-run partnership for the opening wicket.

01:02   3rd Test! West Indies openers frustrate India in St Lucia

West Indies: 38-0
India: 353

Brathwaite and Johnson are slowly but surely building a good foundation for the home team, much to frustration of Kohli and Co.

This is the highest opening stand for the West Indies in the last 26 innings.

And it has not even reached 40 runs yet. This shows how much the West Indies openers have been struggling in recent times.
