India lose their last nine wickets for the addition of 46 runs. What a spectacular collapse it has been. Kudos to Richardson but it was Hastings who started the collapse in his fial over. 

Australia have now won 18 ODIs on the trot at home. 

Come Saturday, and they will try to complete a 5-0 whitewash at the Sydney Cricket Ground. 

As regards India, suffice to say this team never learns.

India need 36 runs to win from their final three overs. Mitchell Marsh has cramps. However, he recovers top continue. 

He is unfortunate twice as first Richardson, and then Wade, drop catches. However, he gets third time lucky as Bailey gets it right from point, Yadav (2) being the man dismissed. 

From 277 for one, India has collapsed to 315 for nine. 

And its all over as Wade finally holds on to one, Marsh getting the wicket of Ishant (0).

Australia win by 25 runs to take a 4-0 lead in the series.

New man Bhuvneshwar Kumar is lucky as Wade puts him down off Faulkner, even before he could open his account. 

Richardson completes a well-deserved five-wicket haul in his final over, having Bhuvi (2) caught by Smith at first slip. 

Richardson (10-1-68-5) ends with a wicket maiden.

Rahane's stay is brief, Richardson having him caught by Smith at slip. He manages only two. 

Rishi Dhawan joins Jadeja even as India is collapsing like a pack of cards. Can these two stem this fall of wickets?

Lyon ends his spell with figures of one for 76. 

With seven overs to go India need 50 runs. A couple by Jadeja, off Richardson, helps India get past the 300-run mark, in the 44th over. 

However, Richardson gets his fourth wicket in that over, having Dhawan (9) caught by Warner at sweeper cover.

Ravindra Jadeja joins Gurkeerat. So we have two new batsmen at the crease, with India still needing 67 from their last 10 overs. 

The visitors have reached 282 for four after 40 overs. 

In the 41st over, Lyon has Gurkeerat (5) caught by substitute Shaun Marsh at square leg. 

Ajinkya Rahane has been forced to come out and bat.

Against the run of play Hastings makes a breakthrough for Australia, having Dhawan (126) caught by Bailey at backward point. 

Dhawan's 113-ball innings was inclusive of 14 hits to the fence and two overs it, and he helped Kohli add 212 runs for the second wicket. 

However, he gets dismissed with India still needing 72. 

Captain MS Dhoni is the new man in. And he is caught behind off his second ball.

Hastings (10-0-50-2) has struck twice in his final over to help his team hit back.

Dhawan (on 114) survives an appeal as television replays show the ball had pitched before Bailey caught it. 

For the record India has never lost a game when Dhawan has scored a century. The opener, it seems, will extend his record.

A couple off Hastings helps Kohli complete his 25th ODI ton, his fifth against Australia and his second in successions - after that superlative 117 in Melbourne.

It is also Kohli's 15th while chasing. He also becomes the fastest to reach 25 ODI hundreds.

A single by Dhawan in the same over helps raise the 200-run partnership for the second wicket, one that has taken the game away from Australia.

A couple by Kohli, off Hastings, helped raise the 150-run partnership for the second wicket. 

After 30 overs, India is coasting at 227 for one. 

A couple of boundaries off Lyon helps Dhawan complete his ninth ODI hundred. What an innings undder pressure.

Successive boundaries by Dhawan, off Richardson, helps raise the 100-run partnership for the second wicket. 

With his bowlers failing to get the breakthrough, Smith gets himself to bowl, replacing Marsh (5-0-33-0) in the 24th over. Six off his first over, with Kohli finding the fence. 

Kohli smashes the first ball of Faulkner's fourth over for a huge six over long-on. It's a big hit, Kohli's first six of the innings. 

A boundary by Dhawan, in Smith's second over, helps India get past the 200-run mark, in the 26th over.

A couple off Richardson helps Kohli complete his 37th ODI fifty, his fifth against Australia. 

This comes in the wake of his majestic century in Melbourne. 

These two need to continue now for India to win this.

A single by Kohli, off Lyon, helps India get to the 100-run mark, in the 13th over. 

Mitch Marsh replaces Faulkner (2-0-20-0) in the 14th over. He gives away 13 in his first two overs. 

A single by Dhawan, off Lyon, helps raise the 50-run partnership for the second wicket. 

Maxwell is handed the ball in the 17th over, replacing Lyon (4-0-35-0). A boundary in the over takes Dhawan to his 17th ODI fifty, his fourth against Australia. And it has come in quick time.

Rohit helped Dhawan add 65 for the opening wicket - in just eight overs. However, his dismissal came at the worse possible time. 

Virat Kohli is the new man in. 

James Faulkner into the attack in the 10th over, replacing Richardson (4-0-33-1). Kohli greets him with a boundary past point. Three balls later he repeats the feat. These two were involved in an exchange in Melbourne, caught on the stump mic. 

Dhawan smashes the first ball of Hastings fourth over for a six over point. Kohli continues his assault over Faulkner, helping himself to successive boundaries in the latter's second over.

A huge six by Rohit, off Richardson, helps India get past the 50-run mark, in the eighth over. It also brings up the 50-run partnership for the opening wicket. 

Two balls later, Rohit repeats the feat, followed by a boundary.

However, he edges one going to the leg side and Wade makes no mistake. 

What an anti-climax?

Rohit dismissed for 41, his 25-ball innings inclusive of two boundaries and three sixes.

Rohit smashes a huge six over midwicket in Lyon's second over, that also has Dhawan finding the fence. The over costs Australia 17 runs. 

Australia make their first bowling change in the fifth over, John Hastings replacing Lyon (2-0-23-0). Four off the over.

Dhawan smashes the first ball of Richardson's third over for a huge six over square leg. Three balls later he finds the fence again.

The news is that Ajinkya Rahane has stitches in his hand, and will bat oly if needed. There's no doubt about the latter part. 

Australia open with Nathan Lyon. And it will be Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan for India. The second ball goes over the in-field for four even as six runs come off the over.

Yadav runs out Wade (0). From 288 for two after 44.2 overs, the hosts have collapsed to 321 for seven, i.e., five wickets for just 33 runs.

Maxwell eases the pressure with successive boundaries off Yadav, who ends with figures of three for 67. 

Ishant to bowl the final over. Maxwell smashes the first ball over fine leg for six. The second ball is reverse swept to the fence. The third is smashed through covers for four more. 

The fifth ball also finds its way into the fence before getting out in the final ball.

Ishant ends with figures of four for 77. 

Maxwell makes a 20-ball 41, his innings inclusive six hits to the fence and one over it. 

Australia end up at 348 for eight.

With five overs to go, Australia are 294 for three. Glenn Maxwell has joined his captain at the crease. 

Ishant gets a big one. Smith (51) smashes it but mistimes, and Gurkeerat takes a well-judged catch at fine leg.

Smith and Marsh are scoring at more than run a ball now. 

Ishant replaces an expensive Kumar (7-0-58-0) in the 43rd over. There's no respite though as Smith smashes the first ball for a huge six over midwicket. Another single in the over takes the Aussie captai to the 2,000 ODI runs landmark.

Marsh hits the last ball of the over to bring about the 50-run partnership for the third wicket. 

A change of ends for Kumar, replaces Dhawan (9-0-53-0) in the 44th over. His first ball is a full toss down the middle and Smith helps himself to another six over square leg. 

Another bowling change, Yadav replaces Ishant (7-0-42-1) in the 45th over. Clearly neither India has any plan nor they have anything working for them at the moment. 

Against the run of play, Yadav has Marsh (33) caught by Kohli.

Marsh's 42-ball innings was inclusive of three boundaries and he helped his captain add 67 runs (off just 42 balls) for the third wicket.

Australia 237 for two after 40 overs. What lies in store in the last 10 overs? Is 325 on cards?

Bhuvi replaces Jadeja in the 41st over. Smith welcomes him with a six over deep square leg as 11 come off the over. A boundary by Smith, in Dhawan's next over, helps Australia get to the 250-run mark.

After 35 overs, the home team is comfortably placed at 204 for one. Time for drinks. 

Yadav's sixth over is an expensive one, both the batsmen helping themselves to a boundary apiece. 

However, Yadav strikes in his seventh over, having Finch (107) caught by Ishant. Finch's run-a-ball innings was inclusive of nine hits to the fence and two over it.

Warner unlucky to miss out on what would have been a well-deserved hundred. 

Mitchell Marsh comes in at No.3. Surprise move by Australia this. He survives a loud leg before appeal of the first ball. 

After 30 overs, Australia is comfortably placed at 188 for one. 

Umesh Yadav replaced Ishant (6-0-27-1) in the 34th over. Finch welcomes him with a boundary, the shot helping Australia reach the 200-run mark.

Another single in the over takes Finch to his seventh ODI hundred, his first against India. What an innings it has been, a perect combination of aggression and caution.

Ishant Sharma is handed the ball again in the 28th over, replacing Dhawan (7-0-34-0). He gives away seven runs. 

It's twin bowling change, Jadeja replacing Bhuvi (6-0-48-0) in the next over. He gives away two runs. 

Ishant finally strikes for India, knocking Warner (93) over. 

Warner's 92-ball innings was inclusive of 11 hits to the fence and one over it, and he helped Finch add 187 runs for the opening wicket.

Bhuvi replaces Jadeja (4-0-28-0) in the attack in the 25th over. He gives away just two runs.

A massive six over mid-off by Finch, off Dhawan, helps Australia get past the 150-run mark, in the 26th over. 

Bhuvi's sixth over is an expensive one, 16 runs coming off it, all scored by Finch.

Change of ends for Dhawan immediately after drinks, replaces Gurkeerat (3-0-24-0) in the 18th over. 

Meanwhile, umpire Kettlebrough, who got hit on the follow through, has walked off the field, Paul Wilson replacing him. 

After 20 overs, the home team is comfortably placed at 125 without loss.

A single off Jadeja helps Finch complete his 11th ODI fifty, six of them having come against India. It is his second 50-plus score in this series.

After 15 overs, the home team have made 87 without loss. Gurkeerat's third over is an expensive one, both the batsmen helping themselves to boundaries. 

Ravindra Jadeja is introduced into the attack in the 17th over, replacing Dhawan (2-0-6-0). Warner welcomes him with successive boundaries, one a reverse sweep past short third man - that helps Australia get past the 100-run mark, and the other a drove to the cover boundary. 

Three balls later, his top edge also finds the fence, as 15 come off Jadeja's opening over.

A boundary by Finch, off Yadav, helps Australia get to the 50-run mark in the seventh over. It also means that the Aussie openers have vindicated their captain's decision to bat first.

Bhuvi has a change of ends, replacing Yadav (4-1-26-0) in the ninth over. He gives away just three runs. 

Australia get 59 off their first 10 overs, without losing a wicket.  

Spin is introduced in the 12th over, Gurkeerat Singh replacing Ishant (3-0-10-0). He is unlucky as Yadav puts down Warner (on 39) at short fine leg, the ball going all the way to the fence.

Finch gets his second boundary in the second ball of Yadav's second over, an exquisite drive through mid-on. 

Warner starts his boundary count in the first ball of Bhuvi's second over, a cut short past covers. He gets a couple of more boundaries in the over. 

Warner continues his aggression in Yadav's third over, taking 14 runs, including three boundaries. 

Australia reachj 40 without loss after five overs, forcing Dhoni to make an early bowling change. Ishant Sharma replaces Bhuvi (2-0-20-0) in the sixth over. He gives away five runs.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar returns to the Indian line up, replacing Barinder Sran. 

Aaron Finch and David Warner to open the batting for Australia and it will be Umesh Yadav first up for India. It's a maiden over first up. 

Bhuvi to bowl the second over. He gives away seven runs, with Finch finding the fence of the first ball.

Australia have won toss and have opted to bat first in the fourth ODI in Canberra. 

"Looks a pretty good wicket that will slow down late in the day," reasons captain Steve Smith.

MS Dhoni, his opposite number, concurs.

"We wouldn't have mind batting first," he admits. 

David Warner and Nathan Lyon are back in the Australian line-up.
