India: 122-4
Sri Lanka: 138-9 (20 overs)

Chameera ends a decent spell (4-0-27-0). India need 27 to win off the final four overs.

Perera (4-0-32-1) strikes with his final ball, Yuvraj (35) directing a bouncer straight to Kulasekara at fine leg.

Yuvraj's 18-ball innings was inclusive of three boundaries and an equal number of sixes, and he helped Virat add 51 runs (off 40 balls) for the fourth wicket.

Hardik Pandya is the new man in.
22:00

India: 105-3
Sri Lanka: 138-9 (20 overs)

Yuvraj hits successive sixes off Herath to ease the pressure further. Play is stopped for a while, as they procure sawdust into the bowlers' landing areas.

Another six over cover point by Yuvi, off Perera, helps India get past the 100-run mark, in the 15th over. Sehan Jayasuriya puts him down at deep square leg immediately after.
21:43

India: 77-3
Sri Lanka: 138-9 (20 overs)

A boundary by Raina, off Chameera, helps raise the 50-run partnership for the third wicket. India 66 for two at the halfway mark.

Shanaka replaces Chameera (2-0-16-0) in the attack in the 12th over. He strikes with his first ball, Raina (25) mishitting and Kulasekara making no mistake at mid-off.

Raina's run-a-ball inning was inclusive of two boundaries and he helped Kohli add 54 runs (off 47 balls) for the third wicket.

Yuvraj Singh is the new man in. He starts off with a boundary.
21:24

India: 50-2
Sri Lanka: 138-9 (20 overs)

Kohli and Raina have steadied the ship considerably.

Kohli, in particular, has been impressive, hitting two boundaries in a Kulasekara over before getting another of Chameera.

A single by him, off Chameera, helps India reach the 50-run mark, in the eighth over.
21:04

India: 16-2
Sri Lanka: 138-9 (20 overs)

Kulasekara strikes again in his second over, having Rohit (15) caught by Kapugedera at slip.

Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina are the two new batsmen at the crease, and the onus is on them to bail India out of the hole they have dug themselves into.
20:57

India: 11-1
Sri Lanka: 138-9 (20 overs)

Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan to open the batting for India and it will be Angelo Mathews first up for Sri Lanka. Six runs come off the over with Rohit finding the fence in front of point.

Nuwan Kulasekara to bowl the second over. Rohit finds the fence again but the bowler has Dhawan (1) caught behind.
20:32

Sri Lanka: 138-9 (20 overs)

Ashwin has Perera (17) out stumped off a wide ball. The offie ends with figures of two for 26.

Kulasekara (13) hits successive boundaries in the final over by Nehra to give the Sri Lankan total a semblance of respectability.

India require 139 to win.
20:21

Sri Lanka: 115-7

Shanaka (1) is run out off a free hit. Believe it or faint!

Bumrah is back to bowl the 18th over, and a spectacular catch by Pandya in the deep hands him a second wicket, that of Kapugedera (30).

Thisara Perera and Nuwan Kulasekara are the two new batsmen in, and the former cuts loose with a couple of boundaries off Bumrah.
20:13

Sri Lanka: 103-5

With four overs to go Sri Lanka have reached 100 for four. Pandya (4-0-26-2) is done.

Ashwin strikes in his third over, having Siriwardana (22) caught by Raina at long on, thereby ending a 43-run stand for the fifth wicket.

Dasun Shanaka is the new man in.
20:09

Sri Lanka: 100-4

Milinda Siriwardana replaces his captain at the crease. And Ravichandran Ashwin is finally handed the ball in the 12th over, replacing Jadeja (1-0-6-0). He gives away just four runs.

A change of ends for Jadeja in the 13th over, replaces Pandya (3-0-17-2). Siriwardana hits a straight six and follows it up with a boundary to third man as 13 runs come off the over.

Suresh Raina is handed a lone over and he gives away nine runs.
19:50

Sri Lanka: 57-4

It's a twin bowling change, Yuvraj Singh replacing Bumrah (3-0-16-1) in the eighth over. He gives away just three runs first up.

Strangely, Yuvi is taken off after an over and replaced with Ravindra Jadeja, who concedes six runs.

After 10 overs, Sri Lanka are struggling at 47 for three. A boundary by Mathews in the first ball of the 11th over takes Sri Lanka past the 50-run mark.

However, Pandya strikes back in the same over, rattling Mathews (18) stumps.
19:36

Sri Lanka: 32-3

India make their first bowling change in the seventh over, Hardik Pandya replacing an impressive Nehra (3-0-12-1). And the impact is immediate.

Pandya has Dilshan (18) caught by Ravichandran Ashwin at fine leg.

Captain Angelo Mathews walks out to bat with his team in doldrums.
19:19

Sri Lanka: 15-2

Shehan Jayasuriya is the new man in. He doesn't last long, Bumrah having him caught behind in his second over.

It's only the fourth over and Sri Lanka look to be in trouble.

Chamara Kapugedera is the new man in.
19:11

Sri Lanka: 6-1

Dinesh Chandimal and Tillekeratne Dilshan to open the batting for Sri Lanka and it will be Ashish Nehra first up for India.

Chandimal hits the second ball past cover for the first boundary of the innings. That's the lone scoring shot in the over.

Jasprit Bumrah to bowl the second over. Just a single off it.

Nehra strikes in the first ball of his second over, having Chandimal (4) caught behind.
18:43

Good evening and welcome to the Asia Cup match between India and Sri Lanka in Mirpur.

The news is that India have won the toss and invited Sri Lanka to have a bat first.

"We'll have to wait and see how the pitch behaves. A bit less grass on this wicket, more suitable for the batsman," reasons MS Dhoni.

In the lone change for India Shikhar Dhawan comes in place of Ajinkya Rahane.
