WT20 Updates! NZ thrash Pakistan, qualify for semis

Milne returns to have Akmal (24) caught by Guptill at long-on. McClenaghan bowls the penultimate over and ends an expensive spell (4-0-43-0), Pakistan getting past the 150-run mark in the over. 

Pakistan need 30 runs off the last over. Milne (4-0-26-2) to bowl. He gives away only seven. 

New Zealand win by 22 runs for their third straight win and qualify for the semi-finals.

Just when Afridi (19) looked good he hits one straight to Anderson at long-off, Sodhi being the lucky bowler.

Shoaib Malik replaces his captain at the crease. Sodhi ends an excellent spell (4-0-25-1).

Pakistan require 52 to win in their final four overs.

It's twin spin as Santner replaces Elliott (1-0-10-0) in the ninth over. He strikes with his second ball having Latif (3) caught by Elliott at long-on.  

Umar Akmal is the new man in. In his final over, Santner (4-0-29-2) has Shehzad (30) caught by Guptill at deep midwicket. 

Afridi hits a huge six over deep midwicket, off Sodhi, to ease the pressure. After 15 overs, Pakistan have reached 123 for three

A fourth bowling change in four overs for the Black Caps. Mitchell McClenaghan to bowl the fourth. Sharjeel smashes the second ball to the square leg fence. 

The third is smashed to the midwicket fence, the fourth to the fine leg fence - over the in-field - and final ball goes over the square leg fence, as Pakistan get past the 50-run mark in the fourth over. 

Against the run of play Milne strikes in the sixth over, ending Sharjeel's (47) entertaining knock. having him caught by Guptill. 

Sharjeel's 25-ball innings was inclusive of nine hits to the fence and one over it, and he put 65 runs (off 38 balls) for the opening wicket with Shehzad. 

Khalid Latif is the new man in. Pakistan 66 for one after six overs. 

Grant Elliott to bowl the seventh over. He gives away 10 runs.

Ahmed Shehzad and Sharjeel Khan to open the batting for Pakistan, and it will be Mitchell Santner to start the proceedings for New Zealand. 

Sharjeel welcomes Santner with a boundary, a full toss disposed straight past the bowler. He gets another couple of boundaries in succession as 15 runs comes of the over. 

Corey Anderson to bowl the second over. Shehzad hits the first ball to the fine leg fence as nine runs come off it. 

Santer is replaced by Adam Milne in the third over. Sharjeel welcomes him with successive boundaries.

Irfan ends an expensive spell (4-0-46-1), Ronchi hitting a six in his final over. 

Sami has Ronchi (11) caught by Malik at point in his final over, ends with figures of two for 23. 

Amir (4-0-41-0) to bowl the last over of the innings. Taylor (36 not out) smashes the first ball for a six. Sixteen come off the over as New Zealand manage 180 for five.

Against the run of play, Guptill (80) chops one from Sami onto his stumps. Guptill's 48-ball innings was inclusive of 10 hits to the fence, and three over it, and he helped Anderson add 52 runs for the third wicket. 

Anderson (21) falls soon after, Afridi having him caught by Shoaib Malik at long-off.  The Black Caps are giving away on a good start here. 

Ross Taylor and Luke Ronchi are the two new batsmen in. Afridi ends with figures of two for 40. 

With four overs to go, Black Caps are 135 for four.

New Zealand: 100-2

Corey Anderson is the new man in. Change of ends for Wasim, replaces Irfan (2-0-22-0) in the 10th over. 

The Black Caps reach 81 for two at the halfway mark. 

A couple off Afridi helps Guptill complete a well-deserved half century, his 10th in T20 cricket. He celebrates the same with a couple of boundaries. 

Wasim ends with figures of none for 26, the Black Caps reaching the 100-run mark in his final over, the 12th of their innings.

Irfan replaces Sami (2-0-15-0) in the eighth over. He strikes with his second ball, having Williamson (17) caught by Afridi at cover.

Williamson's 21-ball innings included just one boundary but he helped Guptill add 62 runs (off 44 balls) for the opening wicket. 

Colin Munro replaces his captain at the crease. Shahid Afridi to bowl the ninth over, replacing Wasim (2-0-14-0). He strikes with his fifth ball, having Munro (7) caught by Sharjeel.

Another straight by Guptill, off Sami, helps New Zealand get past the 50-run mark, in the sixth over.

Muhammad Amir to start the proceedings for Pakistan and it will be Kane Williamson and Martin Guptill opening the innings for the Black Caps. Just a single off it. 

Mohammad Irfan to bowl the second over. Guptill welcomes him with a huge six, straight over the bowler's head. Williamson too finds the fence as 13 runs come off the over. 

Guptill helps himself to three boundaries in Amir's second over.

The news is New Zealand, going for a third straight win, have won the toss and opted to bat first. 

The Black Caps have retained the squad that beat Australia in Dharamsala while Pakistan has made a couple of changes.
