However, Samson can't complete is fifty, Stoinis having him caught by Maxwell.

Delhi reach 51 without loss after the powerplay.

Punjab finally manage a much-needed breakthrough in the eighth over, Stoinis having De Kock (52) caught by Axar at backward point.

De Kock's 30-ball innings was replete with six boundaris and two sixes, and he helped Samson add 70 runs (off 47 balls) for the opening wicket.

Karun Nair is the new man in. Delhi 76 for one after nine overs, and it is time for the first strategic timeout.

A single off Zaheer helps Stoinis complete only his second ever T20 fifty, his first in the IPL.

However, Zaheer soon has Stoinis (52) caught by Sanju Samson at long-on.

Glenn Maxwell is the new man in.

Second strategic timeout taken after the 14th over, with Punjab on 106 for three.

Marcus Stoinis and Murali Vijay open the batting for Punjab and it will be Shabaz Nadeem first up for Delhi. Just a single off it.

Mohammed Shami to bowl the second over. Vijay helps himself to successive boundaries off the final two balls.

However, Morris strikes in his second over, having Vijay (25) caught by Brathwaite.

Vijay's 16-ball innings was inclusive of four boundaries, and he helped Stonis add 45 runs (off 34 balls) for the opening wicket.

Meanwhile, in Mohali, Delhi Daredevils have won the toss and invited Kings XI Punjab to bat first in the northern derby.

"Pitch should get better as the goes on," reasons captain Zaheer Khan.

In the next over by Bhatia, Watson helps himself to successive sixes over wide long-on. Watson has completely changed the momentum of the match, taking pressure off Kohli.

RCB eed 50 from their last five overs. RP Singh albeit gets a breather for Pune, trapping Watson (36) out leg before.

Watson's 13-ball onslaught was inclusive of five boundaries and two sixes , and he helped his captain add 46 runs (off 21 balls) for the third wicket.

It's his 14th 50-plus score in 2016, his fifth half century in this edition to go with a hundred against Gujarat.

However, Rahul (38) is clipped in his wings, Adam Zampa having him caught by Bailey at deep cover.

Rahul's 35-ball innings was inclusive of one boundary and a couple of sixes and he helped his captain add 94 runs (off just 67 balls) for the opening wicket.

AB de Villiers is the new man in. He survives a loud appeal but is caught by Perera at long-off in the very next ball.

Tiwary's 40-ball innings was inclusive of nine hits to the fence, and he helped Rahane add 105 runs (off 70 balls) for the second wicket.

Captain MS Dhoni comes out to bat with his side in command. He starts off with a six off Watson.

However, Watson has the last laugh, having Dhoni (9) caught by Rasool at third man. Thisara Perera replaces his captain at the crease.

A couple by Tiwary, off Rasool, helps Pune get to the 100-run mark, in the 12th over. Successive boundaries in the same over take Tiwary to 49.

He duly completes his fifty with a cheeky single off Aaron. It is his second fifty of the season.

Rahane hits a boundary in the same over to complete his fifty, his sixth of the season. Time for the second timeout.

Yuzvendra Chahal is introduced immediately after resumption, replacing Rasool (2-0-24-0) in the seventh over. Seven off it with Tiwary finding the fence off the last ball.

Rahane (on 27) skies Aaron but no one takes the catch. RCB fielding has been pathetic today.

Tiwary (on 25) is lucky a third time as Rahul misses a stumping off Chahal. A single by Tiwari helps raise the 50-run partnership for the second wicket.
