23:49   Nair slams 59-ball 83 to lift Delhi Daredevils to victory

DELHI WIN BY 6 WICKETS!!!

Delhi 161-4 (20 ovs) vs Hyderabad 158-7 | Scorecard

Bhuvneshwar to bowl the final over with 11 needed for victory.

Samson hits the first ball to fine leg for two runs but gets just a single from the second ball.

Bhuvi bowls a good short ball, straight on Nair's body, who somehow steers it on the off-side for one, 7 needed from three balls for victory.

Samson is beaten off the fourth ball but is beaten as he takes a quick leg bye.

Nair smashes the fifth ball past mid-off to get a vital boundary as Warner makes a desperate dive running to his left from mid-on.

Nair pulls the last ball through midwicket for a four to take his team to victory as Warner fails to stop the ball inside the circle.

Delhi scamper to a much-needed six-wicket victory courtesy largely of Nair, who stroked a brilliant 83 not out from 59 balls, hitting eight fours and three sixes.

The victory keeps Delhi's hopes alive of making it to the play-offs, they are 7th in the table with 14 points from 13 games. It sets up a thrilling last round of games with Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Mumbai Indians also on 14 points from the same number of matches.

23:39   Brathwaite dismissed for 10, Delhi in trouble

Delhi 148-4 (19 ovs) vs Hyderabad 158-7 | Scorecard

Mustafizur to bowl the crucial 19th over. He starts with a dot ball, slanting the first ball across Brathwaite, who has a poke but is beaten.

Brathwaite gets a thick edge off the next ball as Sran at short thirdman dives full length to his left to take a spectacular catch.

That's a big wicket for Hyderabad, as Delhi require 16 from 10 balls for victory.

Sanju Samson hits the third ball to long-on for one before Nair makes room but is beaten by Fizz, who bowls it full and well outside the reach of the batsman.

Nair hits the last two balls through the midwicket region for two runs each as Fizz concedes just five runs in his final over to finish with superb figures of one for 24 in four overs.

Delhi are 148 for four in 19 overs, needing 11 from the last over for victory.

23:31   Delhi need 16 from 2 overs for victory vs Sunrisers

Delhi 143-3 (18 ovs) vs Hyderabad 158-7 | Scorecard

Brathwaite, who escaped a run out chance in the last over, starts the 18th over with a boundary smashing a length ball from Bhuvneshwar through the point region.

The next ball is a wide before Brathwaite steals a leg bye and once again Nair has a close shave as Bhuvneshwar kicks the ball towards the stumps and misses it narrowly with Nair out of his crease.

Nair pulls a short ball but loses his bat which falls on the off-side before he is struck on the body attempting a similar shot.

Bhuvneshwar cuts Brathwaite into half with a short delivery which beats the right-hander but the wicketkeeper also fails to stop it as it goes for four byes. He takes a single from the last ball to get 12 from the over, with 16 needed from two overs for victory.
23:24   Duminy falls for 17, Hyderabad on top

Delhi 131-3 (17 ovs) vs Hyderabad 158-7 | Scorecard

Duminy fails to make most of the lifeline and is dismissed off the very next delivery. He looks for a big hit against Sran but is caught by Warner, who does well to judge the high catch and hold on to it.

Duminy was done in by the change of pace as he holed it high down to long-off where Warner did well to come and take the catch.

Sran tries the slower bouncer but Nair reads it early and pulls it over midwicket for a six and repeats the shot off the last ball for another six.

Despite the wicket, Sran has gone for 14 runs in his fourth over to finish with two for 34 in his four overs.

Delhi are 131 for three in 17 overs, needing another 28 runs from three overs for victory.
23:18

Delhi 117-2 (16 ovs) vs Hyderabad 158-7 | Scorecard

Left-arm pacer Sran comes back and is unlucky not to have bagged the wicket of Nair. The right-hander looks to pulls a short ball but mishits it to long-on where Warner puts down the easiest of catches as Nair, on 51, gets a lifeline.

Despite seeing a catch go down, Sran has bowled a good over, giving away just four runs as the asking rate goes above the 10-run mark with 52 needed from five overs for victory.

Mustafizur, who has two overs in hand, comes back. Duminy turns the first ball on the leg side for two runs followed by a single. Nair looks to paddle the third ball fine but gets it off the bat on to the helmet before Fizz bowls a wide.

Nair finally gets the boundary as he walks across his stumps and helps it past short fine leg for a four.

Hyderabad's fielding lets them down yet again. This time Duminy slashes it on the off-side as Bhuvneshwar at sweeper cover puts down another easy catch. They have let down two simple chances and it could come back to haunt them big time.

Delhi are 117 for two in 16 overs with Mustafizur going for 10 in his third over. They need 42 from four overs for victory.

Duminy keen to keep up with the asking rate as he sweeps the second ball through the leg side for a four. In the same over, Nair picks a single to bring up his half-century from 42 balls, a very important innings under the circumstances.

The second time-out is taken as Delhi reach 103 for two in 14 overs, needing 56 runs from six overs for victory.

Nair is looking solid on 50 from 42 balls, while Duminy is looking to be positive scoring 11 from seven balls.

Delhi 83-2 (12 ovs) vs Hyderabad 158-7 | Scorecard

Karn continues as he drops short which Pant pulls through midwicket for a much-needed boundary for Delhi, the first boundary in almost three overs.

But the young left-hander is dismissed three balls later as he is run out at the non-striker's end going for a second run. Pant eased up a little bit as he turned for the second run before rushing at the end but was caught short by a direct hit from Bhuvneshwar, who came charging in from deep square leg.

Pant walks back for 32 as Delhi are reduced to 82 for two in the 12th over.

Maybe the youngster didn't expect the fielder to throw at his end and was taking it easy before he realised his mistake but by then it was too late.

The run rate is going up steadily as Hyderabad look to stop the flow of boundaries.

Nair breaks the shackles as he heaves a length ball from Henriques over the leg side for a six. The right-hander gets the benefit as a close shout for caught behind is given in his favour and that was a very close call.

10 runs from Henriques's second over as Sunrisers recover to reach 62 for one in nine overs, needing 97 from 11 overs for victory.

Hyderabad 10-0 (2 ovs) vs Delhi | Scorecard

Sunrisers Hyderabad have their two best players -- David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan -- while Delhi's captain Zaheer Khan will open the bowling for the hosts.

With 12 points from 12 games, Delhi need to win against a confident Sunrisers as loss will all but finish off their hopes for a play-offs berth.

The Sunrisers, on the other hand, are virtually through to the play-offs and they are on top of the table with 16 points from 12 games.

Sunrisers have been the most consistent team in the tournament and except for the two consecutive defeats in the opening two matches, they have not lost back-to-back games in the league.

Daredevils though have reason to be a bit upbeat as they had beaten Sunrisers in the first leg in Hyderabad and they would look to win their final two league matches at their new 'home' ground in Raipur.
