England 314-4 (94 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

India have taken the second new ball straightaway at the start of Day 2. Mohammed Shami will bowl with the new ball giving enough indications that the hamstring cramp, which he suffered on Day 1, was not serious.

Shami starts with a pacy delivery, short and wide outside the off-stump as Moeen opts to leave it.

The next ball is again a bouncer which swings into the left-hander who sways out of the way. India bowled just one bouncer to Moeen on Day 1 but seems that will be their tactic today.

Moeen taps the third ball on the off-side for a quick single to complete his century from 195 balls. This is the left-hander's fourth Test century and the first away from home. A superb knock from the all-rounder, a mature innings as he never let the Indian spinners settle down with his positive footwork to play some aerial shots down the ground.

Ben Stokes punches Shami through the covers for a couple for his first runs of the day.
