Umesh Yadav to bowl the second over. The third ball is on the pads as Moeen turns it on the leg side for a four, the first of the day. The next ball is short and wide and this time the left-hander crashes it past point for another boundary.

Two balls later, he plays a beautiful cover drive for the third four of the over as Moeen makes his intentions clear early on the second day.

In the next over, Stokes pulls a short ball from Shami powerfully through midwicket for another four as runs flow against the hard new ball.

Shami beats him with the last ball of the over, full and moving away ever so slightly as the left-hander plays away from his body.

England dealing in boundaries as Stokes hammers a full delivery from Yadav through the covers for a four. That literally flew off the bat and the fielder barely had time to react.

Stokes looks in the mood as he attempts to pull Yadav out of the stadium but he fails to make connection.

This has been a bright start for England on Day 2, scoring 24 runs from the first four overs, all bowled by the pacers.
