Kolkata Test: Bhuvi's fifer puts NZ into tatters

It's end of Day 2 at the Eden Gardens stadium in Kolkata. Bhuvneshwar Kumar claimed a fifer picking the priced wickets of Guptill, Nicholls, Taylor, Santner and Henry. 

NZ trail by 188 runs with three wickets remaining. 

The session post the rain interruption as fruitful for India with Bhuvi dismissing Taylor, Santner and Henry. 

This is Bhuvneshwar Kumar's maiden Test five-wicket haul in India, his 4th overall

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is on a hattrick. He first dismissed Santner (lbw) and follows it with a peach of a deliver to rattle the stumps of Matt Henry. 

Bhuvi, who made a comeback in this match, has now completed his fifer. 

He also picked the priced wicket of Ross Taylor (36) earlier.

That's superb bowling from Ravindra Jadeja. He bowls a straighter one which hits Ronchi's pads right in front of the stumps. 

Ronchi departs for 35 with NZ in more trouble. 

The covers are on immediately after the wicket as there is slight drizzle in Kolkata.

It falls just short of Ashwin for a caught-and-bowled chance. A huge sigh of relief for Ross Taylor and the Kiwis. 

Taylor and Ronchi hold key for New Zealand after they lost three early wickets.

Ross Taylor and Luke Ronchi are fighting hard for the Kiwis after losing three wickets in the start. 

Taylor is on 30, while Ronchi is playing on 25.

It's lunch time. The first session on Day 2 ends. This session clearly belonged to India after the pacers sent back both the Kiwi openers. 

Earlier, Saha scored a fabulous half-century to take India to 316.

Excellent swing bowling from Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Indian pacers have removed both the Kiwi openers. 

Bhuvi bowls it on good length as the ball hits Guptill's elbow and clips the stumps. Guptill wanted to leave it alone.

The line and length does the trick for Bhuvi. 

India are right on top here in Kolkata.

India strikes early in the second over. Mohammed Shami picks the first wicket of Tom Latham. He forced Latham to play it on the on-side with the ball hitting his pads (LBW) right in front of the stumps. 

Good start for India and Shami.

A fantastic acrobatic catch by Henry in the deep. India are all out for 316 with Saha remaining unbeaten on 54. Shami contributed with a vital 14. 

India have breached the psychological 300-rum mark. 

Henry claims three wickets, while Boult, Wagner and Jeetan Patel took two wickets respectively.
