India 187-2 (35 ovs) vs NZ 285 | Scorecard

The singles are coming quite easily against the pacers with Dhoni and Kohli using the gaps to good effect and keep the runs coming with ones and twos.

Without even hitting a boundary, Dhoni and Kohli pick up six runs from the 31st over bowled by Southee.

The next over fetches nine runs as Kohli flicks a slower ball from Neesham over midwicket for a four.

This is good batting from the two right-handers, keeping the runs coming at a steady clip without taking too many risks.

He repeats the shot in the next over from Southee, this time using his wrists too effect to flick it over midwicket for a four to take his score into the 80s.

Santner comes back and it remains to be seen how he copes with the dew. Kohli and Dhoni have a huge misunderstanding but they recover in time as the former makes his crease in time.

Three runs from Santner's eighth over takes India's score to 187 for two in 35 overs, with another 99 needed from 15 overs for victory.

Kohli is looking good for his century, batting on 86, while Dhoni has made 76 from 87 balls.
