Gujarat Lions' captain Suresh Raina has won the toss and elected to field first.

Royal Challengers Bangalore's Kohli said at the toss that he would have batted first anyway and is confident to come out and put up a big total coming in to bat.

Gujarat made a few changes, bringing in James Faulkner and Ishan Kishan, while leaving out Akshdeep Nath and Dwayne Smith from the playing XI.
Bangalore replaced Stuart Binny with Aniket Choudhary, while Travis Head replced Tymal Mills, who has a niggle in his back.

Staring at elimination after an inexplicable batting collapse followed by a wash-out, Royal Challengers Bangalore will be aiming for revival when they clash against out-of-sorts Gujarat Lions in an Indian Premier League match, in Bengaluru, on Thursday.

The Bangalore outfit will have to win all its remaining six matches to keep alive the hopes of making the knockouts.

With the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad called off without a ball being bowled due to rain on Tuesday night, Bangalore had to share a point.

They now have just five points from eight games and are lying sixth in the points table.

Gujarat will take a cue from their last win against Kolkata Knight Riders when skipper Suresh Raina scored a 46-ball 84 against a potent attack.

Raina has scored 275 in the tournament so far and is among the top five run-getters. The team would depend heavily on him against the Royal Challengers.

Playing XI:

Royal Challengers Bangalore: Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli, Mandeep Singh, AB de Villiers, Travis Head, Kedar Jadhav, Aniket Choudhary, Pawan Negi, Samuel Badree, Sreenath Aravind, Yuzvendra Chahal

Gujarat Lions: Brendon McCullum, Aaron Finch, Suresh Raina, Dinesh Karthik, Ishan Kishan, Ravindra Jadeja, James Faulkner, Andrew Tye, Basil Thampi, Nathu Singh, Ankit Soni
