India 487-9 (122 ovs) vs SL | Scorecard

Pandya's maiden century in Test cricket helped India end the morning session on a high as they reach 487 for nine in 122 overs.

The morning session belonged to the hard-hitting Pandya, as he smashed a brilliant 108 from 93 balls, having hit eight fours and seven sixes.

Despite losing three wickets, Pandya ensured India amass 158 runs in 32 overs, scoring at nearly five runs per over.

Umesh did well to give him company on three from 14 balls as the unbeaten last wicket stand put on 66 runs from 46 balls.

The dismissal of Shami saw Pandya change gears as he hit Pushpakumara for three consecutive sixes in an over which went for 26 runs before he brought up his century from just 86 balls.
