SL 22-1 (3 ovs) vs India 375-5 | Scorecard

Dickwella welcomes Jasprit Bumrah to the crease in rude fashion as he flicks the first ball from the pacer over square leg for a four.

Two balls later he repeats the shot but this time he flicks him square for a boundary over midwicket.

Bumrah tries for a leg stump yorker but ends up bowling a leg side wide which goes further down and beats wicketkeeper Dhoni for five wides.

Dickwella standing well outside the leg stump as he steers Bumrah to thirdman for a single off the last ball and keep strike.

Dickwella on the attack. The left-hander waits on the backfoot as he pulls a short ball from Shardul over square leg for another boundary.  The pacer bowls it away from the left-hander but ends up bowling a wide outside the off-stump.

Shardul ramping it up as he bowls a quick delivery around 92mph which bounces more than expected and beats Dickwella outside the off-stump.

He bowls a short ball outside the leg-stump as Dickwella looks to pull but misses and is taken by Dhoni down the leg side. The on-field umpire immediately calls it a wide but India decide to take the DRS after Dhoni signals the same to captain Kohli.

And it turns out to be a brilliant review as the replay shows that the ball had nicked the gloves before it was taken by Dhoni as Dickwella walks back for 14.

A good start for Shardul on his debut as he gets the dangerman and in-form Dickwella out early to deal Sri Lanka's chances a huge blow.
