SL 57-3 (14 ovs) vs India 375-5 | Scorecard

Bumrah gets new batsman Angelo Mathews to edge one but it falls wide of Rohit in the slips, who does well to dive and stop the boundary.

Hardik Pandya comes into the attack in place of Shardul, who bowled an excellent first spell of one for 17 in five overs.

Pandya starts off with a quick bouncer as Mathews ducks under it before he takes a single and Thirimanne picks one too.

Pandya tries another bouncer to Mathews who lets it go before two singles come off the last two balls.

With Sri Lanka not threatening with the bat, captain Virat Kohli brings himself into the attack to bowl some medium pacers.

And the two Sri Lankan batsmen show him a lot of respect as they pick up four easy singles from his first over.

Pandya concedes just a single in his second over but Kohli goes for runs in his second.

He bowls on the pads as Mathews clips it fine for a four before he gets another boundary through the same region off the next delivery.

Sri Lanka struggle after early wickets to reach 57 for three in 14 overs, scoring at just four runs per over, with another 319 needed from 36 overs for victory at an asking rate which has creeped up above the eight-run mark.
