Tamil Nadu all-rounder Sundar Washington makes his international debut as he replaces Kuldeep Yadav. He gets his India cap from head coach Ravi Shastri.

It is a must-win match for the Indians, who are trailing 0-1 in the three-match series, courtesy of their seven-wicket defeat in the opening match in Dharamsala.

Washington's ability with the bat also strengthens India's batting, an area which completely flopped in the first game.

But the experienced Ajinkya Rahane is once again ignored as the team management prefer to keep faith with the young batting line-up.

"It's quite tempting with the kind of skill he possesses but we have decided that he is our top order batsman and we don't want to shuffle with it. It is not ideal to play around with anybody's position in the batting," said India captain Rohit Sharma at the toss.

Once again, India's top order will facing a testing time against the Sri Lanka pacers with the new ball. The key will be to play out the first 10 overs without much damage and then cash in later in the innings.
