SL 172-all out (17.2 ovs )vs India 260-5 | Scorecard

Rohit Sharma blasted his way to the joint fastest century in T20 Internationals, reaching the three-figure mark off just 35 balls, to power India to a massive 88 runs which helped them seal the three-match series 2-0, against Sri Lanka in the second T20 International in Indore on Friday.

Rohit hit 118 from 43 balls and KL Rahul smashed 89 from 49 balls to lift India to a massive 260 for five in their 20 overs.

In reply, Sri Lanka hardly challenged with the bat despite Kusal Perera's entertaining 77 from 37 balls and Upul Tharanga hit 47 from 29 balls.

The wrist spinners, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav, once again did the damage with the ball as they made a good comeback after going for runs early on in their spell.

Chahal took four for 52, including three wickets in his final over, while Kuldeep also matched him with triple strike in his last over to finish with three for 52.

Sri Lanka lost their eight wickets in the space of 25 balls to suffer another dramatic batting collapse.

The convincing victory helped India seal the three-match series 2-0 with the inconsequential third and final T20I to be played in Mumbai on Sunday, December 24.
