December 22, 2017  21:38

SL 86-1 (9 ovs )vs India 260-5 | Scorecard

Spin introduced as Kuldeep Yadav comes in to bowl in the Powerplay, to bowl the sixth over.

Tharanga comes down and lofts the second ball over the covers for a four. Two balls later Kusal Perera comes down the track and hammers the spinner back over his head for a six. He chips down again and clubs the left-arm spinner over midwicket for another maximum.

Kuldeep goes for 19 in his first over as SL reach 61 for one in six overs.

Hardik Pandya comes into the attack with Sri Lanka requiring a lot of boundaries to keep their chances alive.

But Pandya makes a fantastic start with the ball as he concedes just five singles in his opening over.

Kuldeep does well to keep Perera guessing who tries the reverse paddle but the ball is much slower and on the pads as he ends up getting one to short thirdman.

Tharanga takes another single before Perera comes down and clubs Kuldeep over the leg side for a six to get 11 from the over.

Pandya nearly bowls another good over, keeping the batsmen restricted to just ones and twos. However, Tharanga manages to pull the last ball fine for a four but they still get just nine from the over as the asking rate creeps above the 15-run mark.
