Islam overdoing the short ball and this time Vijay is able to get on top it and pull it for a four. Two balls later, he repeats the shot for another boundary as India reach 40 for one in 12 overs at the drinks break.

Bangladesh introduce spin as 19-year-old off-spinner Mehedi Hasan comes into the attack. Pujara hits the first ball through the covers for a single before Vijay defends the rest of the over.

A long first spell for Islam, who continues to bowl his seventh over. He overpitches as Pujara smacks the half-volley straight down the ground past mid-off for a four.

In the next over, Pujara has a close shave as he again gets the edge which goes past the slip fielder for a four followed by a single to bring up India's 50, in the 15th over.

Vijay also gets an edge off the last ball which goes past the slip fielder for a four to raise the 50-run stand for the second wicket.

India have reached 55 for one in 15 overs with Pujara on 26 and Vijay on 27.
