Pune buy Ben Stokes for a record Rs. 14.5 CRORE

England's star all-rounder Ben Stokes gets an immediate bid from Mumbai Indians with Royal Challengers Bangalore in the fray.

Within a few seconds his base price doubles up to Rs. 4 crore with Mumbai not willing to back down.

Delhi enter the fray but Mumbai won't give up easily as the bid crosses the Rs. 5 crore mark.

It triggers an intense bidding war with both Delhi and Mumbai going all out to raise the bid to a whopping Rs. 7 crore and it continues to go up at a good rate.

Both franchises not willing to give up as Mumbai go all out and raise the bid up to Rs. 10 crore.

Delhi also not giving up easily as they raise the bid to Rs. 10.5 crore as Mumbai pull out.

Sunrisers Hyderabad make a late entry with a bid of Rs. 11 crore but Delhi won't give up easily and soon the bid goes up to Rs. 13 crore in favour of Sunrisers.

A long discussion in the Delhi Daredevils table before they decide to pull out of the race before Pune jump into the fray with a 13.5 crore bid.

It is a windfall for Ben Stokes in his first appearance at the IPL Auction.

Sunrisers won't give up easily as they raise the bid to Rs. 14 crore before Pune raise it further by 14.5 lakh.

This is the second highest bid of all the time after the Rs. 16 crore paid to Yuvraj Singh by Delhi Daredevils.
