England 128-2 (20 ovs) vs India 381-6 | Scorecard

Pandya bowls a short ball to Root, who does well to ramp it over the keeper for a four. Two balls later, Roy smashes it through the off-side for another boundary to take England past the 100-run mark, in the 16th over.

Jadeja just darting the ball in, not giving the batsmen anything to work with as he bowls another tight over, he has conceded just 18 runs in four overs.

Still no signs of Ashwin as Pandya continues. He bowls another short wide delivery as Root makes room and drives it past the fielder at point for a four.

Two balls later, Roy pulls a short ball which goes through the fingers of Bumrah at midwicket to give away a four. That was a tough chance for Bumrah as it went quickly over him and he barely got time to react.

Ravichandran Ashwin, who bowled poorly in the first match, makes the perfect start with the ball.

He strikes in his very first over with the key wicket of Root, who looks to slog sweep but gets a top edge and is caught on the leg side after scoring 54.

Earlier in the over, both batsmen had completed their half-centuries and looked set for a long vigil out in the middle before Ashwin struck just at the right time for the Indians.

Root and Roy rallied England after an early wicket, as they put on 100 runs from 96 balls for the second wicket.

England are 128 for two in 20 overs, needing 254 runs from 30 overs for victory at an asking rate of 8.46.
