January 19, 2017  18:54

England 75-1 (12 ovs) vs India 381-6 | Scorecard

Root looks to break free against Bhuvneshwar as he launches him down the ground past mid-off for a four and two balls later, he pulls a short ball past short fine leg for another four.

Roy plays the delicate late cut fine on the off-side for a four to take England to 66 for one in 10 overs.

Bhuvneshwar, who bowled a good first spell of five overs for 23 runs, makes way for left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja, who makes a tidy start as he concedes just four singles.

Double change as Hardik Pandya comes on from the other end, replacing Bumrah, who took one for 37 in five overs in his first spell.

He gives away just a single in the first five balls before Roy spoils the over by pulling the last ball over midwicket for a four.
