23:45   Soft dismissal

India 33-2 (10 ovs) vs West Indies 189-9 (50 ovs)  Scoreboard

Dinesh Karthik has got no chance to get an ease. No short balls or freebies given away.

It's good to see the Windies bowls a tight line and length and their discipline is bound  to pay off sooner.

It's another maiden by Holder.

Joseph bowls a good maiden over.

Karthik, who came at the fall of Kohli's wicket is yet to get off the mark.

Rahane is looking good but the Windies fielders are bouyed by the fall of 2 early wickets.

They are showing glimpses of improved fielders after those early mistakes.

Holder continues and gives just one run off the over.

Joseph continues.

So Kohli has departed but Rahane is undaunted.

He plays a crisp, well-timed shot on the off side to get 2 runs.

Two blunders in the field. First, captain Holder lets the ball through his legs at long off, gifting Rahane a boundary, then, Mohammd drops Rahane off the very next ball.

Kohli fails again, gone for 3!

He tries to go after Holder's short delivery, gets a top edge and keeper Shai Hope completes a good catch.

That's a wicket-maiden for Holder.

23:21   Joseph makes first breakthrough

India 25-1 (5 ovs) vs West Indies 189-9 (50 ovs)  Scoreboard

India have started at a decent pace despite losing opener Dhawan early.

Joseph continues and Kohli gets off the mark with 3 runs.

Rahane pulls a short one through backward square leg for a boundary.

He repeats the treatment, this time the ball going a little more finer to the boundary.

Holder continues and Rahane gets a beautiful boundary, well-timed through the covers.

Just the four runs off the over that saw an LBW decision against Rahane turned down by the umpire. No review taken.

Alzarri  Joseph gives Windies the early breakthrough.

Shikhar Dhawan played an uppish shot right into the hands of Windies captain Jason Holder at mid-on.

Dhawan gone for 5 off 7.

Virat Kohli comes to the crease and does not get off the mark.

Joseph bowls out a wicket-maiden.

India start at a brisk pace getting 10 runs off the first two overs.

Rahane survived an early scare, the ball falling just short of Roston Chase on the leg side.

22:20   Pandya, Umesh pick of the bowlers

West Indies 189-9 (50 overs) vs IndiaScoreboard

West Indies batsmen got the starts but failed to make them count.

West Indies have closed their innings at 189 for 9 off their 50 overs.

Hardik Pandya and Umesh Yadav are the pick of the bowlers for India with 3 wicket-a-piece.

21:58   India bowlers doing well

West Indies 178-7 (47 overs) vs IndiaScoreboard

As much as the Windies batsmen are struggling, it's all credit to the Indian bowlers who are giving nothing away.

Shami continues and Bishoo and Nurse are having a tough time taking on the bowlers.

It's a daunting task for the batsmen here as Kuldeep continues.

Bishoo takes a run to cover. Nurse drives a flighted delivery and again gets only a single for it. Bishoo gets a run to mid-on and again that is just another three runs to the total.

With an aim to finish off the innings, Shami gets another spell.

Again Devendra Bishoo and Nurse can only take three runs off the paceman.

Kuldeep Yadav comes back in the attack and is also miserly, gives just three runs.

Umesh Yadav continues and Ashley Nurse is the new batsman in.

And he gives just three runs in the over.

21:39   Pandya picks up his 3rd wicket

West Indies 163-7 (42 overs) vs IndiaScoreboard

Jason Mohammed gone and Pandya picks his 3rd wicket!

He goes for 20 after handing the simplest of catches to Jadeja at backward point.

Looks like the West Indies are going to fold up way before expected. With another 8 overs to go, it looks difficult that they will play out the full 50 overs.

The West Indies batsmen have picked up the pace in the last 4 overs. They have scored 21 off the last 24 balls but they have undone most of the good work by losing captain Holder in the 39th over.

Holder edges an Umesh Yadav delivery bowled down the leg side, only to give Dhoni a diving catch.

Since his departure, Rovman Powell and Jason Mohammed have struggled to keep the scoreboard moving.

The boundaries have dried up and the batsmen have scored just seven runs and have now lost their 6th wicket.

Umesh Yadav strikes! Rovman Powell is the man walking back to the pavillion. He is caught by Ravindra Jadeja who runs back to take the catch at point.

21:05   Shai Hope gone for 25

West Indies 136-4 (35 overs) vs IndiaScoreboard

Pandya bowls in the corridor, Hope tries to run the ball down to third man only to hand a good catch to MS Dhoni behind the stumps.

It's a fine over by Pandya, after testing both batsman and getting Jason Mohammed flush on the helmet, this was the best way to end the India.

Hope, with 25 off 39 deliveries, was looking good at the crease, having played himself in.

With 15 overs remaining, it's going to be a massive task for the hosts to put up a challenging total.

Mohammed takes on Kuldeep, gives himself some room and clobbers it through covers for a four.

Pandya continues and the Windies continue to be challenged/

Another wicket and the Windies have to restart the whole rebuilding process.

It's up to new batsman Jason Mohammed and Shai Hope to up the ante now.

20:46   Windies in a spot

West Indies 121-3 (32 overs) vs IndiaScoreboard

Kuldeep Yadav gets his bunny.

Chase once again is deceived by a flighted wrong-un, He tries to go after the ball but he misses it completely, only for the ball to strike his middle stump and rattles the bails.

That is a wicket-maiden!

Hardik Pandya comes back into the attack, replacing Jadeja at the other end.

Chase gets a single to sweeper cover. Pandya then bowls two dot balls, one of them a short ball and Hope gets under it well.

And another one!

Hope then cuts the ball down to wide third man. Chase then takes a quick single to end the over.

Kuldeep continues and beats chase. The batsman nearly done in by the wrong 'un.

Just two singles taken off the over.

Roston Chase scoring at a brisk pace, he is mixing the singles and twos with the odd boundary.

It's up to Chase and Shai Hope to now build the innings for the hosts.

Jadeja finishes his quota of 10 overs, giving away 48 with no wickets to show.

Last 26 balls 20 runs that's nearly five runs an over.

20:25   Windies lose 2nd wicket

West Indies 97-2 (25 overs) vs IndiaScoreboard

Jadeja continues and a rare misfield allows the batsmen run for two.

The batsmen are taking some easy singles and twos here.

Another misfield in the over, this time Dinesh Karthik is the culprit at long off . A misfield, the ball runs through his legs, allowing Chase get a boundary.

Kuldeep Yadav continues and that is four runs taken off his over.

Roston Chase replaces Lewis at the crease.

Jadeja continues and Shai Hope plays the ball off his pads, gets a boundary for the lovely timing.

Kuldeep Yadav gets the ball.

India have put Windies under pressure and Kuldeep strikes in his very first over!

A flighted deivery, Lewis tries to play to the covers but hands a catch to Kohli at mid-wicket.

Lewis goes after Jadeja and takes 9 runs off him.

20:06   Windies opener Kyle Hope gone for 35

West Indies 69-1 (20 overs) vs IndiaScoreboard

Pandya continues and the Indian fielders are impressive in the infield.

Lewis tries to go after the wide delivery. India have bowled seven extras thus far.

Pandya cramping the batsman but Lewis goes after the over-pitched delivery off the next ball. He hits it straight down the ground for a four over long on.

Pandya ends the over with a bouncer to Shai Hope.
Jadeja continues and the batsmen are  now happy to pick the singles against the spinner.

Shai Hope replaces brother Kyle at the crease and gets off the mark with a single  through mid-wicket.

Kyle Hope now going after Pandya, he finds the gap through mid-wicket for a four.

He plays an unnecessary shot, he tries to hit the ball over mid-off but to his bad luck finds the fielder at cover. Hands an easy catch to Kedar Jadhav and gifts India and Pandya their first wicket.

Hope and Lewis bring up the 50 partnership in the 16th over. They have survived the Indian pacers to reach this far. They now must capitalise on this.

19:46   Relish spinner to the pacers

West Indies 48-0 (15 overs) vs IndiaScoreboard

Jadeja continues and Hope picks the gap on the on side this time. He uses his feet, gets to the pitch of the ball and hammers it  through mid-wicket for a four.

Five runs come off the over and it's evident that Hope and Lewis are more comfortable against the spinner than the pacemen.

Pandya continues and the batsmen are again batting like they have question marks in their heads.

Pandya is mixing his deliveries that is adding to the batsmens' dilemma.

Only one run comes off that over.

Hope uses his feet to Jadeja and gets a four down to long on.

He then gets a single in the same area.

The Windies batsmen look more at ease against the spinner, they are willing to take him on.

Hardik Pandya replaces Umesh Yadav.

There is a little trouble for the Windies batsmen, Lewis jets off for a run after pushing the ball to the leg side and looks for another one, he nearly runs half the length of the pitch but there is miscommunication and he is sent back by Hope.

Ravindra Jadeja is the first change bowler after 10 overs and he gives away just three runs in his opening over.

19:29   Umesh, Shami on the money

West Indies 31-0 (10 overs) vs IndiaScoreboard

West Indies openers off to a poor start here. Just 3.1 runs an over and Indian bowlers have been mighty impressive.

Lewis gets a short ball and he pulls it for a six over square leg. Umesh Yadav makes a rare error and his given the treatment.

This is very lazy batting from the Windies opening pair. There is just no thought.

Umesh Yadav keeps it in that channel, not giving anything away to the batsmen, just two runs coming off the over.

India's bowlers piling the pressure on the Windies openers.

Shami continues and bowls that probing line to Kyle Hope.

The inexperience of the Windies is so telling,  they aren't just able to cut the infield and take the singles and twos.

It's 17 deliveries since the last run came. That is another maiden for Shami.

19:06   Rain delays play after West Indies win toss

West Indies 16-0 (5 overs) vs IndiaScoreboard

Kyle Hope finally gets underway.

He gets under the ball nicely and pulls it through backward square leg for a boundary.

Hope takes a quick single and that is overthrows and that is 4 runs gifted to the Windies by Jadhav.

9 runs off the over.

Umesh to Lewis and that is a peach!

A play and a miss! West Indies getting no freebies at all.

The batsmen are not even attempting the singles and twos.

Another maiden!

Shami giving nothing away and the fielders in the ring only help his cause. That's a maiden!

Umesh Yadav starts the second over with a wide.

Lewis does well to leave the ball that holds its line! What a beauty.

Umesh bowling in that off-stump channel that is challenging the batsman.

Just two runs off the over.

Mohammed Shami opens the bowling for India and gives away five runs in the opening over.

Lewis opens his account with a four, it's short and wide and it's been punished.

Evin Lewis and Shia Hope open the innings for the hosts.

The covers have come off and West Indies batsmen have come out to bat.

18:35   Holder elects to bat as the hosts hope to stay alive in the series

The start of the 4th ODI between West Indies and India has been delayed due to rain.

West Indies captain Jason Holder has won the toss and elected to bat in this fourth ODI vs India at Antigua.

India lead the current Caribbean ODI series 2-0 in the five-match series and could wrap the series with a win tonight.

For Kohli, a 4-0 victory many not earn him a lot of plaudits due to the sheer quality of opposition but would definitely help him to deflect the unwanted controversy that was created due to his alleged role in sudden departure of national coach Anil Kumble.

The best part about India's performance is that they have had all bases covered.

The batsmen have been amongst runs while the bowlers have displayed exemplary discipline in their effort.

It will be interesting to see if Kohli decides to tweak his playing XI, may be get Dinesh Karthik or Rishabh Pant in the middle-order in place of Yuvraj Singh.

Squads:

India: Virat Kohli (captain), Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Yuvraj Singh, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (wk), Kedar Jadhav, Hardik Pandya, Ravichandran Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Dinesh Karthik, Mohammed Shami, Ravindra Jadeja.

West Indies: Jason Holder (capt), Sunil Ambris, Devendra Bishoo, Roston Chase, Miguel Cummins, Kyle Hope, Shai Hope, Alzarri Joseph, Evin Lewis, Jason Mohammed, Ashley Nurse, Rovman Powell, Kesrick Williams.
