India 5-1 (1 ov) vs WI 205-9 | Scorecard

Alzarri Joseph struck in the very first over of the innings with the wicket of Shikhar Dhawan, who is caught in the covers for a four.

After cutting a short ball from the fast bowler over the point region for a four, Dhawan tries to force the last ball through the covers but only manages to hit it straight into the hands of Even Lewis.

After starting the series with back to back half-centuries, Dhawan's form has taken a big dip, having suffered three successive failures with scores of 2, 5 and 4.

22:56   Shami, Umesh restrict West Indies to 205

WI 205-9 (50 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

West Indies struggling to get the boundaries as Umesh bowls a good over, giving away just seven runs in the 48th over.

Even Powell, who is a proper batsman and has a reputation of being a big hitter in West Indies domestic cricket, is finding it hard to get some quick runs.

After a few hits and misses, Powell finally gets one off the middle as he clubs a slower ball from Shami over long-on for a six.

Shami follows it up with a slower ball as Powell is beaten before he pulls the last ball to deep midwicket for a single which helps him keep strike for the final over.

Powell smashes the first ball of the final over, bowled by Umesh, over long-on for a six to take West Indies past the 200-run mark.

The next ball is a wide yorker as Powell strangely offers no shot believing it to be a wide before he hits the next ball to deep midwicket for a couple courtesy of misfielding from Rahane at deep midwicket.

Umesh bowls a quick bouncer as Powell goes for the pull but gets a glove and is caught down the leg side by Dhoni as he walks back after a timely innings of 31 from 32 balls.

No. 11 Kesrick Williams plays an awkward shot off the fifth ball but fails to get a run and he offers no shot to the last ball, thinking it to be a wide as Umesh finishes off well.

West Indies finish on a below-par 205 for nine in their 50 overs, scoring just 41 runs from the last 10 overs for the loss of four wickets.

Shami topped the bowling figures with superb figures of four for 48, while Umesh picked up three for 53 to leave the West Indies struggling.
22:41   Shami picks 4th wicket, WI continue to slip

WI 182-8 (47 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Kuldeep has bowled well without luck and he misses out on a deserved wicket in his final over. He gets Devendra Bishoo to edge one but wicketkeeper Dhoni fails to hold on to the catch.

But the left-arm spinner has played his part with the ball, giving away just 36 runs in his 10 overs to build the pressure from his end.

Umesh comes back as Shami gets a break, having taken three for 33 in eight overs as he goes to the dressing room to get some treatment.

Bishoo throws his bat at a wide full delivery but Jadeja does well with a full length dive at point to save some runs. Umesh sends down a maiden over as Bishoo struggles to get his bat on the ball.

West Indies have scored just 11 runs from the last six overs, from Over No. 40 to 46 as their prospects of getting 200 also looks difficult at the moment.

Shami is running through the West Indies middle and lower order. Bishoo gets lucky as he gets an edge which goes past Dhoni for a four but he perishes in the same over as the edges goes straight to the wicketkeeper.

He tries to steer it fine past Dhoni but only manages to get an edge and give Dhoni a straightforward catch as West indies slip to 182 for eight in 47 oves.
22:27   Shami's triple strike leaves WI in tatters

WI 171-7 (44 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Kuldeep continues to give the batsmen problems as he beats Powell with one that goes straight on before he gets a single off the fourth ball.

New batsman Ashley Nurse is beaten by one which comes in sharply and he defends the last ball as Kuldeep concedes just a single in his ninth over.

Shami continues his wicket ways as he claims the wicket of Nurse, who clips it straight into the hands of Kuldeep at midwicket to fall for a duck.

West Indies have collapsed from 163 for four to 171 for seven, losing three wickets for eight runs in the space of 18 balls.
22:18   Shami dismisses Shai, WI in trouble

WI 169-6 (42 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Kuldeep continues as new batsman Rovman Powell edges the second ball past the slip fielder for a couple.

The next ball comes in as Powell somehow keeps it out, having failed to read it, before the next ball goes the other way and the right-hander is beaten completely.

A superb over from Kuldeep as he concedes just two runs in the 41st over.

The pressure pays off as Shami strikes from the other end, his second wicket in successive overs.

Shai looks to swing it on the leg side but fails to get enough distance and is caught on the leg side after a patient innings of 51 from 98 balls. Rahane did well to run to his left from square leg before producing a dive at the end to complete a stunning catch.
22:11   Holder out for 36, WI lose 5th wicket

WI 164-5 (40 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Holder continues his attacking approach, as he swings Pandya across the line, over midwicket for a six as West Indies go past the 150-run mark, in the 38th over.

A few balls later, Shai takes a single to bring up his half-century from 94 balls and Holder takes one off the last ball to get nine runs from the over.

Holder continues to play the reverse sweep against Kuldeep with good result as he gets another boundary past point.

Shami replaces Pandya as India look for a wicket to break this threatening partnership, especially Holder, who is playing a few shots and getting boundaries at regular intervals.

Holder steers a wide delivery from Shami past point for a couple before he makes room and smashes the fast bowler over the covers for a four.

But the fast bowler gets revenge as Holder has another big swing but ends up holing out to Shikhar Dhawan at long-on after a quickfire 36 from 34 balls.

West Indies are reduced to 164 for five in 40 overs with Shai Hope batting on 50 from 95 balls.
22:00

WI 143-4 (37 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Jason Holder has a huge swing but is foxed completely by Jadeja as the balls spins in and hits the right-hander on the pads.

Another quick over from Jadeja as he concedes just two singles, in the 32nd over.

Holder finally gets under one as he swipes Jadeja over midwicket for a four but the left-arm spinner finishes with impressive figures of 27 runs in 10 overs, playing a crucial role in keeping West Indies tied down in the middle overs.

Jadhav also doing a good job from the other end, giving away 13 runs from four overs.

Shai nearly falls to the bouncer yet again as Pandya tries the short ball and the right-hander plays a reckless put shot but it hits the gloves and goes over the wicketkeeper for a four.

Kuldeep comes back into the attack, replacing part-timer Jadeja. Holder looks to disrupt the young spinner as he reverse sweeps but gets a bottom edge which goes through Dhoni's legs to get them two runs.

He gets the shot right off the next ball as Kuldeep bowls a full toss and Holder gets it past point for a four.

West Indies nearly commit suicide as Holder hits it straight to the fielder in the covers and sets off for the single but Jadeja is unable to pick up the ball with Shai Hope struggling to make his crease.
21:35   Jadhav strikes, West Indies 4 down

WI 116-4 (31 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Part-time spinner Kedar Jadhav comes into the attack, replacing Kuldeep, who bowled a good first spell of five overs for 16 runs.

West Indies manage to release some pressure as Shai hits a short ball past point for a four, the first boundary after a long wait of 11 overs.

Jadhav bowling with a round arm action with a very low trajectory as Shai keeps strike with a single from the last ball.

Jadeja continues to bowl well as he sends down a maiden over as West Indies struggle to 115 for three in 30 overs.

Jadhav's golden arm does the trick yet again for India. Mohammed gifts his wicket away as he chips one straight back to the bowler to be dismissed after a struggling innings of 16 from 39 balls.

Dhoni being proactive and is taking the lead in setting the field for the spinners as India continue to build the pressure.

21:24   India's spinners build pressure in middle overs

WI 110-3 (28 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

India on the attack as they employ a fielder at short leg for new batsman Mohammed against the spin of Kuldeep.

The spin sends down another tidy over, conceding just a single off the last ball.

Mohammed struggling against the spinners. Jadeja bowls a beauty, a full delivery which turns enough to past the edge as Mohammed is lucky to have not edge it while it also passes close to the off-stump.

Once again a tight over by Jadeja, giving away just two singles as India's spinners continue to build the pressure in the middle overs.

Mohammed has a close call for a run out as he takes a tight second run to Umesh at long-off who does well to stop the boundary with a dive before he sends back a quick throw. Mohammed just about manages to make his crease and survives another close shave, in the 24th over.

Mohammed drives Kuldeep through the off-side for a couple to bring up the 100-run mark for West Indies at the halfway mark.

It has been slow progress for the West Indies with both Mohammed (16) and Shai (33) content to play safe against the two Indian spinners.

The duo have been involved on a slow partnership of 34 runs from 12 overs for the fourth wicket, scoring at below three runs.

West Indies have managed 23 runs from the last eight overs to take the score to 110 for three in 28 overs.
21:02   Umesh's double strike leaves WI in trouble

WI 87-3 (20 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Umesh not going for a hat-trick as he bowls a harmless bouncer which Shai Hope ducks under comfortably. Two balls later, he bowls a poor delivery as Shai hammers the short wide delivery past point for a four before he defends the rest of the over.

Yadavs from both ends as left-arm chinaman spinner Kuldeep comes in from the other end, replacing Jadeja.

He makes a good start, giving away just a single each to Shai Hope and Jason Mohammed.

Change of ends for Jadeja, who replaces Umesh, who has taken two for 38 in seven overs.

Jadeja looking to keep it simple, bowling it full and on the stumps, not giving away anything to concede just two runs.

West Indies are 87 for three in 20 overs, with Shai on 24 and Mohammed on three.

20:48   Umesh's double strike leaves WI in trouble

WI 76-3 (16 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

No sign of spin yet as Umesh continues as he bowls another good over, giving away just three runs.

We didn't have to wait for long as left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja comes in from the other end, replacing Pandya, who had good figures of one for 13 in four overs so far.

Shai Hope sweeps the second ball for a four and then takes a single before his brother Kyle also takes one from the last ball to get six from the over.

Kyle goes after Umesh as he smashes the second ball past mid-off for a four and then pulls the next ball through midwicket for another boundary.

But it is Umesh, who has the last laugh as Kyle is caught at midwicket attempting another pull shot to be dismissed for 46, having hit nine fours in his 50-ball knock.

Umesh strikes again, this time with the wicket of Roston Chase, who is beaten by a full delivery and is given out leg before wicket. He has a chat with the non-striker Shai Hope before deciding to take the DRS.

Chase had shuffled across the crease and was struck in line with the ball going on to hit the stumps as West Indies lose another wicket to be reduced to 76 for three in 16 overs.
20:31   Kyle Hope gives West Indies a good start

WI 59-1 (13 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Shami beats Shai Hope with one that goes straight on, past the edge of the bat before the right-hander takes a single off the fourth ball.

However, there is no stopping Kyle, who ends the over in some style with successive off the last two deliveries.

Shami drops short as Kyle crashes the fifth ball square on the off-side for a four before he punches the last ball down the ground for the same result.

Kyle has raced to 36 from 33 balls, having hit seven fours, to take West Indies to 49 for one in 10 overs.

Pandya tries a short ball to Shai, who does well to avoid it before he clips the next ball to deep square leg for a couple.

Pandya bowls another quick bouncer which goes high over Shai and is ruled a wide before he takes another single.

Good comeback from India as they claim one for 19 in the last five overs to check the West Indies' progress after they had made a good start.

Umesh comes back, after a good spell of five overs for 22 runs from Shami. He bowls a good delivery, getting it to swing sharply and manages to beat Shai Hope.

A good come back from the fast bowler as he gives just a single with Kyle Hope playing four dot balls in a row to end the over.

Shai also growing in confidence as he plays a cracking cover drive off a wide half-volley from Pandya for his first boundary.

Kyle has hit 36 from 38 balls, to lay a good foundation for West Indies as they reach 59 for one in 13 overs.

20:12   Hardik strikes, Lewis out for 9

WI 40-1 (9 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Both West Indies openers looking to be positive as they keep the scoreboard moving with regular singles. Three singles from the first three balls off Shami before the pacer bowls a quick yorker as Kyle adjusts well to flick it past square leg for a four and then keeps strike with a single from the last ball.

India's pacers have been quite poor with their line and length. Another ball on the pads to Kyle by the struggling Umesh as the right-hander flicks it through the leg side for his fifth four to take his score to 28.

Umesh is taken off after a poor spell of 22 runs from three overs as Hardik comes back.

He makes the first breakthrough with the wicket of Lewis, who is caught at mid-off for nine as he looks for big hit down the ground.

A slight hesitation between the two brothers, new batsman Shai Hope and his brother Kyle before the latter survives a close run out chance as the fielder at midwicket gets a direct hit but the bat was down just in time.

A good over from Pandya, conceding just a single while making the opening breakthrough for India.

19:51   West Indies off to a good start after electing to bat

WI 26-0 (5 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Mohammed Shami to open the bowling for India. Left-hander Evin Lewis looks to flick the first ball which comes in as he gets hit on the pads and picks up a leg bye.

Two balls later Kyle Hope turns Shami on the leg side for a single to get off the mark before Lewis takes a run off the last ball.

Umesh Yadav from the other end. Lewis takes a single off the first ball before Kyle glances the next ball on the leg side for the first boundary of the West Indies innings.

Kyle steers the next ball past point for a couple before Umesh bowls a wide to conceded eight runs from his first over.

Just a single over for Shami with the new ball as Hardik Pandya comes into the attack to bowl the third over. Lewis drives the third ball through the gap in the covers for three runs before Kyle plays out the remaining three deliveries.

Change of ends for Shami, who comes on from the other end. Lewis takes a single on the leg side before Kyle is beaten by the incoming delivery as he plays a loose shot without moving his feet.

Umesh also swaps ends as Hardik is used for just one over to facilitate the change of ends for both seamers.

Umesh starts his new spell with a loose delivery, short and wide, which Kyle despatches through the point region for a four. Two balls later he punches a short ball from Umesh through the covers for another boundary to race to 16 from 15 balls.

Umesh looks to compensate as he bowls a full delivery on the stumps which Kyle flicks square on the leg side for two runs before he attempts a similar shot but fails to beat the fielder at square leg.

West Indies off to a good start as they reach 26 for no loss in five overs.

19:17   West Indies elect to bat; both teams unchanged
West Indies captain Jason Holder has won the toss and elected to bat against India in the fifth and final ODI in Jamaica.

Interestingly, India, who lead the series 1-0, have decided against making changes to their playing eleven despite losing the last match to West Indies.

West Indies have also retained the same team which won the fourth ODI.

18:58   India look to seal ODI series vs WI in Jamaica
Welcome to the coverage of the fifth and final One-Day International between India and West Indies in Jamaica, on Thursday.

The Virat Kohli-led Indian side will look to clinch the five-match ODI series against West Indies when they play the must-win fifth and the final match at Sabina Park.

Having slumped to an 11-run defeat in the fourth ODI, India would look to bounce back and finish the series on high note.

India, who are leading 2-1 in the ODI series following their resounding victories of 105 and 93 runs in the second and third ODI respectively, were below par in the previous match as they failed to chase down a paltry target of 191 runs at Antigua.

The Jason Holder-led side, on the other hand, would aim to replicate the same performance as they had displayed in the last match and try to level the series.

As far as Playing XI is concerned, Dinesh Kartik is most likely to retain his place despite not making any impact in his first international match for India in more than three years in the fourth ODI.

Meanwhile, it is yet to be seen whether senior batsman Yuvraj Singh is available for selection after missing the Antigua ODI with a hamstring injury.

Ravichandran Ashwin and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are expected to walk into the playing eleven.
