Rahane also completes a landmark in the next over as he comes down the track and drives Herath straight down the ground past mid-on for a four to bring up his fifty from 117 balls. The next ball is shorter as Rahane punches it through the covers for a couple.

It is Pradeep, who strikes again, with the key wicket of Pujara, who is caught behind after a splendid innings of 153.

A short of length delivery which holds it's line as Pujara has a poke but only gets an edge and is caught behind by wicketkeeper Dickwella.

Terrific bowling by Pradeep, who picks up his fourth wicket of the innings, with no other bowler looking close to claiming a wicket from the other end.

Ravichandran Ashwin, playing in his 50th Test match, walks in at No. 6 ahead of Hardik Pandya. He gets a thick edge off the first ball he faces, from Pradeep, but it falls safely before he has another flash at the ball and is beaten again.
