SL 125-4 (33 ovs) vs India 600 | Scorecard

Ashwin, from round the wicket, again beats Mathews with one that turns as he plays down the wrong line.

The umpire turns down the appeal and the Indians take the DRS.

The impact is in line but the extra bounce means that the ball is just clipping the bails which means it stays with the umpire's call.

A narrow escape for Mathews but Ashwin is getting ever so close to picking up a wicket.

He tries to sweep the next ball but can't beat the fielder at short leg.

Both Ashwin and Jadeja getting plenty of purchase from the wicket and it could be a difficult next couple of days for Sri Lanka if the pitch continues to wear out.

Mathews tries the reverse sweep against Ashwin but misses and is struck on the helmet.

In the next over, Jadeja has a confident shout for LBW turned down as Tharanga comes forward to defend and is struck on the pads but the impact is outside the line.

Jadeja beats Mathews with the quicker delivery as he is struck on the backfoot but the ball is slipping down the leg side and the LBW appeal is turned down.

India get a lucky break as Tharanga is run out in a streaky fashion. He taps the ball on the leg side as Abhinav Mukund does well to throw the ball back and Tharanga has made his crease but the bat bounces on impact and he is given run out.

Tharanga walks back after a good innings of 64 to leave Sri Lanka in further strife on 125 for four in 34 overs.
