23:07   Points split between both teams

Australia 53-3 (9 ovs) vs New Zealand 291 all out (45 ovs) [Revised score 325 in 33 overs] Scorecard

This is not good news from Edgbaston as the match has been called off due to the incessant rain.

This means, both teams will take a point each.

To expect more of such results in the coming days through the tournament will not be a folly.

Australia have been pushed on the back foot by the Kiwi bowlers here.

At 53 for 3 they look in trouble, because ICC informs us that with the Duckworth-Lewis method they should have ideally made 64.

So far there are no other updates and we have to play the waiting game till the match officials make any decisions from wet, wet, wet Edgbaston.

Milne continues and Henriques on strike. He gets the outside edge but doesn't carry to the 'keeper.

Henriques just pulls the ball nicely for a boundary through square leg. What a shot!

Henriques then gets a top edge and the ball flies over the 'keeper's head for a four.

The ICC states on Twitter that the target has been revised and Australia now need 235 off 33 overs for a win.
