India thrash Pakistan by 124 runs via the Duckworth-Lewis method as the defending champions make a smashing start to their campaign in the ICC Champions Trophy.

The Indian bowlers all fired in unison with Umesh claiming three wickets, while Pandya and Jadeja picked up two wickets each and Bhuvneshwar got one.

Chasing a revised target of 289 in 41 overs, Pakistan never challenged with the bat as they were bowled out for 164 in 33.4 overs.

India's next match is against Sri Lanka on Thursday, June 8.
