NZ 215-8 (43 ovs) vs England 310 | Scorecard

Corey Anderson is New Zealand's last big hope but this task looks beyond him at this stage, with 117 needed from 12 overs on a pitch where getting boundaries has been difficult, especially in the second innings.

Stokes and Rashid concede two runs each in the next two overs as NZ struggle to 198 for six in 40 over,s needing 113 from 10 overs for victory.

Anderson drives the first ball of Stokes's new over through the covers for a four but the pacer makes a good comeback with three dot balls in a row followed by two singles.

Mitchell Santner gives Rashid the charge who bowls one wide down the leg side to get him stumped by wicketkeeper Buttler for three.

Rashid could have picked up another one but drops a low catch off Adam Milne to his left.

However, the leg-spinner finishes with good figures of two for 47 in 10 overs.

The wickets keep tumbling for New Zealand. Plunkett, who replaces Stokes, strikes with the wicket of Anderson, who pulls it straight to deep square leg after scoring 10.

Milne inside edges the last ball for a boundary as NZ are reduced to 215 for eight in 43 overs.
