Aus 136-2 (23 ovs) vs England | Scorecard

England introduce spin as leg-spinner Adil Rashid comes into the attack. Smith defends the first two balls before he gets two runs from the third followed by three more singles as five come from the over.

Plunkett over steps to give a no-ball but Smith can't make most of the free hit delivery, pull it to fine leg for one.

However, he drives the fourth ball straight for a four past mid-on as Plunkett goes for 13 in that over.

In the next over, Rashid has a huge appeal for LBW turned down against Finch and England decide not to take the DRS. He is again beaten off the next as England appeal again but the same result.

Stokes gifts Smith some width as the Australia captain despatches it through point for a four to continue their good progress in the middle overs.

Finch plays the paddle sweep against Rashid, getting it fine on the leg side for a couple and turns the fourth ball on the leg side for two more runs as the scoreboard continues to tick at a good rate.

Finch continues to grow in confidence. An over-pitched delivery from Stokes is hammered down the ground past mid-off for a four by Finch as he looks set for a big century with the pitch getting easier to bat on.

But against the run of play, Stokes makes the breakthrough with the wicket of Finch, who is caught on the off-side by Morgan after a good knock of 68 from 64 balls.

Finch went for big hit down the ground but ended up skying it high on the off-side as Morgan did well to judge the catch.

He has provided Australia with a good platform, adding 96 runs for the second wicket with Smith, who is looking good on 40.
